Sebastian raised his brows at him and did not say a single word but chuckled. The sign of him smiling and keeping quiet made Ryan and the others scared. They always gets frightened whenever he remains silence or smile at severe issues.
He looked down at his iPads on the table and played 'Mini Mini Myny Mo' Before picking up the fifth iPad which he now started typing some few things in it and thereafter, he placed it on the table. Causing a low sound in the silent environment.
Ryan was getting confused with his expressions and how he reacted less. The Sebastian he used to know would grow wild like savage for little issues let alone something that involves a massive loss of money.
"Mrs McKinney, please have your sit and forgive me for keeping you standing." She smiled and silently breath a sigh of relief before taking her seat.
Everyone thought she was going to get fired instantly but to their greatest and most shocking surprise, their boss apologized for scolding them for the first time since he joined the company.
It was a shocking moment for everyone of them. But you know who got startled even more? Ryan.
Yes, Ryan felt weak and helplessly on his sitting posture. He has never heard this dude apologize to his employees, irrespective of who they were.
Last night when Sebastian and Jin-joo got home and freshen up, they went to bed for a nap. And then something flashed in his head like an angel just delivered some vision.
He who was lying beside his lovely fiancee with her in his arms, drew away quickly and took out his phone to cross-check something and that was how he found out about the current issue.
When his fiancee notice him awake, she hoped and thought, he was mad about the incident that happened at the nomination and then she started giving him some shoulder massage and seducing him to make love to her if that could calm him down.
But he politely rebuked her in an unoffending tactic and she didn't feel bad about it. Infact she comforted him to spill out the reason for the grumpy face.
When he did, she cheer him up and asked him to invite the boards and staff and also to take things easy with them.
She calculated the amount of loss and wanted to pay the exact amount into the companies account so to end the issue but he stopped her and when she insisted, he chided and instructed her to go to sleep.
Just as she told him and that is why he is trying hard to digest all of these nonsense. Never did the others or Ryan knew the reason why he calmed down. He respected her decision and abide to her words, even in her absence.
"The total loss was five hundred million and I just deposited the sum into the companies account."
"What?!" Ryan snapped in shock.
"Ryan, the only person to be blamed here is me."
"No boss, please cast your faults on me." Francis sighed in dejection. He has always been his most punctual and dominant assistant and yet he couldn't fulfill his job as a personal assistant. What a shame for himself.
"It's alright Francis, I paid less attention to the companies monthly statements." He tapped his fingers on the desk and added, "I guess the permission form was signed by me unknowing to me. Maybe it was shoved into one of the documents and I wrote my signature without noticing."
Ryan turned towards Mrs McKinney and gritted his teeth, "Mrs Stella, there's no way those kangaroo would have had the access to the company's permission form if you didn't gave it to them."
"Of course boss, I admit it." She didn't deny. "But forgive me, it all started when Liam joined the company as an intern and migrated to the HR department."
"Lorena started sneaking in claiming she wants to see her son. I am a mother, I know the attraction between a mother and child. I couldn't rebuke her."
"One day, Liam came into my office and begged me to give him the form and when I refused, he guaranteed in boss Sebastian's name." She explained.
"What?! That rascal tricked you with Sebastian's name in order to eat from the companies wealth? How dare he?"
Now there is another roaring lion in the building, Ryan Flynn. It seems like Sebastian honorably transferred all his aggression to him and now he's the wild being.
Ignoring Ryan's reaction, Sebastian instructed, "Mrs McKinney, was that all?"
She nodded and he asked her to sit down. "Now listen to me everyone, not next should anyone from the company or claim to be my family member ask or deliberately forced you to hand them what you shouldn't. The day such thing repeats itself, you won't be just doomed but added to the blacklist. Is that clear?" Now he sounded stormy.
"Yes boss."
"And never should any of you hide anything reportable?" Ryan snapped.
"Yes boss."
.....
After they left, Ryan stood up and paced around with his arms crossed and his face scowled.
While Sebastian stood by the window busy taking a view from the outside and sipping his coffee which Mrs Maggie had brought to him a while after the employees left.
"Stop pacing back and forth, Ryan."
"Dude, how do you expect me to calm down? You sat there with a faint reaction and the next thing you did was to payback the money in full without–Sebastian, that wasn't right."
"Ryan, sometimes you need to stop overlooking at some certain things." He smiled and took another sip.
"No, man. No that's wrong. The best you would have did was to–okay, I wouldn't have advised you to scold on Mrs McKinney. We don't vent angers on women, right? But still, she made a stupid mistake." They respect feminines.
Sebastian turned towards him, "Exactly, she made a mistake by handing the permission form to Liam. That form contains a whole lot of data to fill and in request of the CEO and President's signature as well. So who do you think is to be the one to blame, Ryan? It's me. I signed it." He provoked at himself.
