Separation

"Neither are you too, respect your place and–"

"Hey, you respect your place. Both you and your husband."

"Listen, I won't stay here and watch you insult my family."

Petra scoffed, "Of course not, and you two also–"

"Enough already!" Jin-joo and Sebastian shouted in unison.

"Mom, dad, Aunt Petra what is all these? Why is it so hard for each of you to accept that Seb and I are engaged and ready for marriage?"

"I forbid you from saying that!" Lee vigorously shook his head. "Neither the relationship nor the marriage is going to work out."

Calvin whom has been holding back the urges of vomiting his mindset out, finally spilled the beans, "Sir, with all due respect you have no right to involve yourself or your family into your daughter's relationship."

"Oh yeah? And who the hell are you to tell me so?"

"A very good friend of your daughter's fiancé."

"Ah, I see." He chuckled. "As they say, birds of same feather flews together."

Calvin turned towards Dong-Hyun, "There's one reason am quiet and it's because we are friends."

"Calvin–"

"No Seb, you won't say anything now. These family has been accusing you of something and trying to end your relationship and you think I will stand here to witness that? Dude, Nelly and I had to postpone our wedding when we heard about the incident."

"What?! You did what? Tell me you're kidding."

"But why will you guys take such a big stress over other people's issues?" Jin-joo whined.

"Jin, you're part of us now. You're family and family are always there for each other, right?" When she nodded, Nelly held her hand, "We aren't doing this for ourselves but for you and Seb."

"How self-centered are we going to be if we carry out a function in this wanly time." Ryan awkwardly chuckled.

Thinking for a while, Dong-Hyun said to his angry father, "Dad, I think it's time you accept jin-joo's relationship and respect her choice in life."

Without saying anything, he grabbed jin-joo's left hand and pulled out the ring from it.

"Dad, no!"

He tossed it at Sebastian's face and narrowed his eyes, "I swear on my life young man, the next time I see you anywhere close to my daughter. Trust me, I won't call on the God of thunder before slitting your throat."

Sebastian widened his eyes in shock. Damn this man is unbelievable. He left everyone including his wife, mother and kids in shock.

He went too far to the extent of doing what he just did.

"No," Jin-joo quickly sat up at once and grabbed the ring from him. But who would have thought that Lee was so quick-witted to get it before her and toss it out of the window.

"You want to marry him, aren't you? Go and get wedded let me see. Jin, you're only allowed to marry someone else but not this man." He lowered his voice on the second sentences.

"But why? What is wrong with him?"

"There's everything wrong with him, Jin-joo and still you can't marry him." He yelled at her. "You can't trust this man, he is not your rightful man. There are other men out there, who will love you and cherish you than him."

"Oh yeah?" She scoffed and looked at Bong-Cha, "Tell me something, mother. Are you in support with dad?" When she hid her face away, Jin-joo broke out in tears, "What type of family is this? What is wrong with you people? How can you guys stop me from getting married to the man I love. This is not fair. Aunt Petra please say something."

Bursting into tears, Petra hugged her speechlessly. She tightened her grasp around her, leaving thick veins to pop in her head. What more can she say? She felt bad for the two but, it's her parents and not her. She wished she had a voice in this.

After she pulled away, Sebastian grabbed her into a tight embrace. Tears rolled down his chin. He shut his eyes and took a deep breath, "Breathe, my love, breathe."

"I can't...Sebastian, please don't leave me. I will die, my life will become as old as before. I don't want this separation." She cried her eyes out.
