In the Lavish Office

"So what are the treasures you found in that lavish office Mr Samuel Greco or I should say, Mr Frederick?" Edward said in his fruity tone while sipping his warm coffee.

"The treasures I collected are the ones which will not let our foe sleep in peace" Samuel replied sarcastically looking at Edward.

"Is that so?" Alessio's eyes widened and he asked Samuel instantly

"Yes sir, I got the documents which would prove pivotal in our case," Samuel said in his deep and husky voice.

"Hmm, then can we see it, Sir?" Alessio asked curiously.

"Sure we can Alessio," Samuel replied with a gentle smile.

I went near my briefcase and opened it. I searched for the most important document and handed it to Alessio and Edward. They skimmed and scammed it, their eyes widened as they were amazed and joy was evident on their charming faces after seeing them.

"What a catch Samuel!" Edward said while a huge smile formed on his face.

"Now we would finally reveal and punish them," Alessio said in a bright tone.

"We would soon," Samuel smirked.

Back in Edmondson Brown's lavish office, Edmondson arrived and went to his office straight. He bashed the door of his office loudly, and sat on his chair while rubbing his temples,

"How could this happen? HOW!!! " He swiped his hand over the table and threw everything on the floor from his table in frustration.

"UGHH! "He stood up angrily and groaned. He started looking outside the window to calm down. He let his fingers through his golden brown silky hair as Lorenzo's greedy face flashed before his enraged Crystal Brown eyes made them darken.

"What does that man think of himself? I healed him throughout without my help what would be able to do? I hid his son's vile acts from the court. I made him and his dogs all of the cases of their hideous acts! HOW CAN HE SAY TO ME THAT I'M NOTHING MORE THAN HIS SERVANT? AHHHH!" He yelled loudly, turned back and banged his fist on his walnut wood table, fire could be seen clearly in his eyes.

His eyes laid on the fine pottery the heavy angel statue on the floor and it smashed into million pieces. But it was not enough to calm his nerves, he took out his gun and shot several times at the wall in front of him, his eyes were filled with rage as of it was not the wall but Lorenzo that he is shooting. Upon hearing the sound his secretary came bustling in and said panicky,

"Sir are you alright?"

She asked while being stuttered from seeing the documents on the floor, his most precious statue which he wouldn't let anyone touch even shattered in million of pieces and his enraged eyes which lay on her. He breathed heavily through his tight gritted teeth while staring at her. He saw her confused face which made him even angrier.

"Get out of my room!" He said in a low but heavy tone.

"But sir-" She took a step forward near him,

"GET OUT I SAID!" He shouted at her aggressively, she shivered from his growling voice but instead of going out she took a deep breath, rolled her eyes and calmed her nerves then she went near his walnut wood table. She took the ceramic jug in her hand and filled the glass with water from the jug. She walked near him and offered him the vessel. Edmondson looked at her raising his eyebrow when she said,

"Sir please calm down, success requires patience."

She said politely in her honeyed voice. Edmondson took the glass angrily and drank all the water at once in anger and gave the glass back to her. He closed his eyes for a moment and took a deep breath, he opened his clenched fists and stretched his neck to release the stress from his muscles. His boiling blood became normal and his nerves calmed down, he sighed and faced his secretary with a straight face.

"You are right I have to be patient, but shouldn't you be at your home right now?" He asked in his heavy tone.

"I was about to go when I heard something peculiar from the receptionist and I was on my way to tell you. " She said in her cunning voice while looking around the scattered papers all over the floor.

"What peculiar?" He asked in a questioning tone while his eyebrow raised in wonder.

"Did you send anyone from Richard's men to take some files from your office?" She asked him while squeezing her sharp cat eyes.

"No, I didn't send anyone." He replied coldly while going towards his large window behind his office chair and crossing his muscular arms. A slight worry was evident on his fair, freckled face.

"You didn't?" She inquired in an amazing voice.

"I don't like to repeat myself, you know that." He glared at her which made her even more worried.

"But-" She said in a confused tone.

"Anything else then ifs and buts misses? What is the purpose of this sudden investigation?"

"The Receptionist told me that there was a from Richard, claiming that you sent him to collect dosimetry important documents." She said while rubbing her pointed chin and sharp jawline.

"What?" he turned back and asked,

"Yes and he showed her the special card that is only given to Richard's most trusted men," she exclaimed further which made Edmondson's eyes widen.

"Then?" he asked curiously.

"By seeing the card she let him inside and he left just after we came." She said to him.

"What are you saying young lady are you in your right senses? How can anyone be allowed in my office by showing a mere card, HUH?"

He went near her and leaned forward yelling at her which made her tightly shut her black cat eyes and terror took over her lean body, she turned her face and an expression of fear was evident on her cunning face.

"Sir I'm sorry-" She tried to apologise but Edmondson was too enraged to hear a single word of her. He took out his pistol and pointed it at the middle of her broad forehead.

"If you say a single word from your mouth I will pull this trigger without even thinking once." He glared at her and pushed the gun even further into her forehead making her cry in pain

"KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT! DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU JUST DID?" He shouted at her.

"Sir-" She said.

"Ugh! "

He yelled and went near his study table. He smashed his fist on the table hardly, she got scared to death by seeing his extreme infuriating behaviour. He glared at her which made her face go blank and a river of thoughts heavily flow in her cunning mind,

What an ill-mannered man he is. Does he never treat anyone or even women with respect? What a vile heartless man he is. A selfish disloyal person whose everything is only money and power! His greed for power is never-ending! She thought.

Suddenly a thought came and clicked Edmondson's evil mind, he quickly started checking his drawers. His secretary stood confused by seeing his sudden action and looked at him continuously,

"Why are you looking at me? START SEARCHING THE DOCUMENTS ON THE FLOOR QUICKLY!" He roomed his voice and ordered her.

"Yue....s. " She quickly sat on the floor and started going through the papers on the floor.

"Why are we doing this sir?" She asked gathering all of her courage left in her.

"WHAT ARE YOU HUH? DON'T YOU KNOW THAT WE HAVE TO CHECK IF THAT UNKNOWN MAN TOOK SOMETHING OR NOT! IS IT TOO DIFFICULT TO GET IN YOUR NARROW MIND! "?He yelled at her in his hoarse tone and a tear left her eye in fear.

"YES....sir. " She hesitated. Edmondson being an ill-mannered man, threw papers on her face and went outside banging the door loud enough to horrify that poor soul. She felt down on her knees and started collecting those useless papers, as she was collecting those papers a tear left her eye and fell on the paper. By seeing this she saw that drop of tears helplessly, she couldn't do anything about him. She tried to bear him the way he is but with every passing day his vile behaviour is getting worse. Her eyes darkened just by thinking of Edmondson Brown and she clenched her fist making her long red nails pierce into her fist. She can't take it now, she let out a cry in agony and anger,

" What do you think of yourself huh? Do you think you are immortal and powerful? Do you think you control me the way you want? Do you think your plans are perfect? Not even a single one of them would work without me. You should be thankful you vile man, you have only seen my good side for these ten whole years and I have walked on a path full of thorns, nails and burning coal with you, But now it's time for you to recognize and apologise for your mistakes. If I would open my mouth you would be finished, Mr Edmondson Brown. She said, and there she sat alone in the middle of a thousand useless pages with her enraged thoughts.
