"I have been in this new body and place for about what feels like nine months now. I'm finally starting to kind of understand the language and who I am but I'm not really sure. I think my dad in this life is a noble of some sort because of all the servants we have. My family has been kind and loving to me and I don't necessarily hate it here. I just hated how I was pooping and peeing myself! I'm so glad I'm able to sorta able to walk and move around now."
"But this new life is sure gonna be interesting as it looks like there is no technology. I wonder what kind of books they will have here. I can sort of understand the words but I can't understand the letters and writing of the books." Chan thought to himself as he was laying on the bed of Lord Ibu and Mrs. Ibu.
"My cute little Chan are you ready to eat before going to sleep?" said Mrs. Ibu as she gets ready to breastfeed Chan.
"Put me down!" Chan thought to himself.
The nipple of Mrs. Ibu touched Chan's mouth.
"Fine I get it, I don't want to die of starvation either," as Chan comes to terms with being breastfed.
After finishing Chan fell fast asleep as his mind was of an adult, but his body was that of a toddler.
A couple of days go by and Chan walked by the training hall of the Ibu family.
Chan was now able to sorta walk, so he freely explored the area as he wanted as he had a servant following him around.
The servant girl realized Chan was walking into the training hall and ran to grab him, "No young master, you can't go in here."
Po was in the training hall and saw his younger brother by the entrance door. "Chan!" Po had stopped swinging his sword and ran towards Chan.
"I'm so sorry young master," said the servant as she bowed her head down to Po.
"Haha It's alright, I wanted to see my younger brother," said Po as he picked up Chan.
"Put me down!" Chan frustratedly thought to himself as he was squirming to free himself.
"I guess you don't want me to hold you up anymore?" Po said sadly as he put down Chan.
"Po, come on, it's time to train not babysit!" said a man standing in front of the many students there practicing.
"Yes, Uncle Oga!" replied Po.
The servant girl tried to pull Chan back outside, "Come on young master let's get out of here because it's dangerous.".
Chan resisted as he wanted to see what they were doing in the training hall.
"Come on young master." said the servant as she picked up Chan.
Chan squirmed as best as he could to escape the grips of the servant.
"Put him down! he can stay," said Uncle Oga as he saw the ruckus Chan was making.
Uncle Oga walked over and picked up Chan and carried him to the front of the class.
"Put on a good show for the second young master. Get ready for sparring." Uncle Oga instructed the class.
He looked Chan right in the eyes and let off a big smile.
All the students split up into different age groups and headed to different sections in the huge training hall.
Like before the training hall was arranged by age groups, the younger kids were further back while the older kids were up in the front closer to the main instructor, who was Uncle Oga.
All of the students already having swords went to grab a shield to spar with.
"Little Chan watch this as this is how every Ibu warrior fights. We fight with a shield to block or counter and use a sword to stab or slash our enemies. Alright, begin!" said Uncle Oga
The groups of students each made two lines facing each other and spared with an elimination tactic. The first of each line faced off until the loser is determined and the loser goes out and watches as the person originally behind the loser steps up to face the winner. The loser is decided if the instructor of the group decides they witness one of the party receive a "killing" blow or they just give up.
The sparring took place until there was only a single person remaining in each group.
There were 3 groups in the training hall. The groups were: those who were 10 through 12 were in group 3, those who were 13 through 14 were in group 2, and those who were 15 through 16 were in group 3.
Po was able to win group 1 even though he was only 10, but he was a genius fighter and also the first son of Lord Ibu.
He came running up to Uncle Oga and Chan after winning his last fight, "Did you like that? Isn't your older brother cool and strong?".
"Strong? Haha," said Chan.
Po's face lit up with joy and a huge smile took his face as his younger brother's first word was saying he was strong, "Haha did you hear that Uncle? His first word was that I was strong.".
"Yes, I heard that," said Uncle Oga as Po was celebrating now not because of his victories but because of Chan's first word.
"Let's go tell my mother, Uncle you can be my witness," said Po as he was excited to head out of the training hall to tell their mother of Chan's first word.
"Calm down, I still have to end the class with some closing words," replied Uncle Oga.
Uncle Oga handed Chan to Po as Po walked back into the back of the training hall, back into his assigned spot.
Uncle Oga was ready to give his closing words to the students, "Ahem! Good job today. I can see you guys are improving every day and have become better fighters since the first time I've seen y'all. As you all can tell or see, the second young lord was in attendance today and he represents why we suffer and work so hard. It is because we must be strong not only for our nation but for our family and the kids we vow to protect when we become the soldiers of the Kan nation. So I will end it here by saying this. We fight for not ourselves but the one we love and cherish! So who are we?"
"Kan's shield and sword!" shouted the students.
"Who are we?" asked Uncle Oga again.
"Kan's shield and sword!!!" The training hall vibrated from the shouts of the students.
"Good you can all go home now!" Uncle Oga dismissed the class.
Uncle looked over and was surprised Chan was not crying even though the shouts of the student were loud enough to shake the room, "Is Feng gonna raise another monster in his family?" Uncle Oga thought to himself.
Chan, Po, and Uncle Oga went to look for Mrs. Ibu, who was in the garden of life. An area in the far corner of the Ibu house where they grew flowers and herbs made for medicine or food.
"Mother!" shouted Po as he ran towards Mrs. Ibu.
"Hey there my little Po," said Mrs. Ibu as she hugged Po and noticed Uncle Oga walking with Chan.
Uncle Oga nodded his head to say hello to Mrs. Ibu.
"Mom, Chan said I was strong," said Po joyously.
Po explained what happened including how he won the sparring matches.
"Congratulations Po, Oga is what Po saying true?" Mrs. Ibu asked Oga.
"Yes, everything is true Mrs. Ibu," replied Uncle Oga.
"My little Chan said his first words," said Mrs. Ibu happily.
Mrs. Ibu walked over to give Chan a big hug.
"Stop hugging me so hard it's hard to breathe, also I didn't call him strong I was mocking him!" Chan thought to himself.
"Also how many times have I told you not to call me Mrs. Ibu when there is no need to be formal. Just call me by my name Mei," Mrs. Ibu said to Uncle Oga.
"I can't do that as I have too much respect for your husband and my best friend Lord Ibu," replied Uncle Oga.
"That's why it's ok since I knew you almost as long as I knew him haha." Laughed Mrs. Ibu.
Mrs. Ibu took the hands of Chan and showed him around the garden while playing with Po.
"I'll take my leave. Also, Po don't forget to come to the training hall later tonight to train your ki before going to sleep," said Uncle Oga as he was walking away.
"Huh? What is ki?" Chan thought to himself.
Later in the night, Chan was curious as to what Ki was so he waited until Mrs. Ibu fell asleep and snuck out.
