Sudden rain in the forest.

We moved forward along the edge of the lake.  The forest is getting thicker as we move forward.  Dense forest on one side and thick fog on the other.  The mixture of these two is as if night has fallen in the forest.  Cold winds blow from south to north.

What a cold wind!  Our whole body shivered in that wind.  We all began to pass out in the cold.

Mr. Haldar said, "Why is it so cold? It was not so cold before?"

The colonel said, "It is so cold because of the wind and the fog. And also the sunlight could not penetrate into this forest. That is why the climate of the forest is very cold."

I said, "We have to light a fire to survive the cold. Otherwise we might get pneumonia from the cold."

We kept collecting the dry branches of trees lying around.  I made those branches into a pyramid shape and set them on fire.

Usually dry stalks are set on fire in a pyramid or triangle shape.  Because if a fire is started in this way, the fire does not burn properly and does not go out.

After lighting the fire we sat by the fire.  Our hands and feet become useless in the cold.  Keeping a distance, I placed my hands on the fire and started warming my hands.

At one point Mr. Haldar said, "Well, has Baijanti returned home? Or has Nagpa returned home leaving us in this forest by another route?"

The colonel said, "I don't know whether Baijanti has reached or not. But I can say that Nagpa has not reached home. Don't you see what a strange magical woman has done to Nagpa and suddenly disappeared with her. Surely she was sent to take her home."  did not disappear."

Mr. Haldar said, "You are right. Then we should inquire at Nagpa's house and see if Baijanti has returned."

This time I said, "First we look for Nagpa. If Baijanti goes back home then it is very good. Even if she doesn't return, it is important to look for Nagpa first. I don't know what that witch woman is doing with her?"

While talking, I notice that the fire is almost at the end.  Our body has also warmed up a bit. New energy has returned to the body.  But one thing went very wrong. That is our body smell. The beautiful smell of our body has changed and now only the smell of smoke is coming out.

Well whatever.  We started moving forward along the edge of the lake.

There are dry leaves of trees under the feet.  Our feet on those leaves make a strange sound. Even though we are treading cautiously and surrendering, the voice is getting stronger.

After walking a little further, our legs got stuck.  I heard a gasp.

I said to the colonel, "What is this word?"

"I don't know for sure," said the colonel. "But it sounds like a snake."

We looked around.  But I didn't see any snake anywhere.

Suddenly I looked up at the sound of a bird chirping.  While looking, my eyes were fixed on a big object. Noticing me,Mr. Colonel  and Mr. Haldar also looked up. Seeing that scene, they also became silent for a while.

I whispered, "Snake! I've never seen such a big snake before."

That snake is slowly coming down.

We took a few steps back in fear.  Now the distance between us and the snake has increased a lot.  The snake looked around and found no prey and went inside the forest.  The snake was very big. It could easily swallow us one by one.

I said, "Doesn't our smell of body smoke have an advantage, Colonel?"

 What are the benefits?

That snake would have attacked us if it had smelled human smell from our body.  But he got out of our way without smelling much. I know snakes have a very keen sense of smell."

Mr.Colonel and Mr. Haldar gave a small smile without saying anything.

I realised they didn't believe me.  They think I'm faking it.

Surviving the danger of snakes, we moved forward.  I walked a long way, but nowhere did I find a sign of Nagpa or the magical woman or Baijanti.  We were a bit disappointed.

I don't know what to do.  As we walked we did not notice how far into the forest we had come.

We forgot to pay attention to the time.

Looking at the sky, the whole sky is covered with clouds.  Lightning started falling.

Mr.Haldar said, "The sky is not looking good at all. It looks like there will be a lot of rain. We must go back. Otherwise we will get wet in the rain. And besides, there is lightning."

The colonel said, "We have come a long way. We can't go back now. We have to stay here. Better not to go back and make a canopy here with the leaves of the trees."

I said, "Hmm. It wouldn't be right to come all the way back."

We started adding leaves this time.  I looked around and found a coconut tree.  The tree was small. So there was no hindrance in getting his branches.  But there is a problem and that is what to cut the branch with.

Thinking about this, an idea came to my mind.  I ran to the edge of the lake. I searched a lot and found a sharp stone.  With this stone the branch of the coconut tree can be cut very easily.

I collected several leaves with that stone.

I went back to the Colonel and saw that they had dug some poles.  If the leaves are placed on top of them, it is made like a house.

Somehow I can make a house to escape from the rain.

When the house was completely built, the rain came.  Looks like the weather was waiting for us. As soon as the house was built, they had to come down in a rush.

The fog, wind and rain added to the chill.  However, there is not much rainfall in the hilly areas.  As we were unlucky it rained in places. I rested my mind and sat down in the little room we made.

Everyone inside the small room was shaking.

"It is very difficult to sit here in this cold," said the colonel. "It would be good to light the fire again."

"It is very difficult to get dry wood in this rain," said Mr. Haldar in despair.

I looked under a tree and saw that it was not raining yet.  Because the tree is so huge that its branches spread far and wide.  There are some dry sticks under that tree. We also built a house under that tree.  As a result, even in such heavy rain, our house survives and does not get wet.

Without delay, I ran to the tree.  I collected dry sticks from there and came back quickly.

The colonel was very happy to see the dry stick in my hand.
