Ash is your typical high schooler who gets to class just as the bell rings, who spends his time earnestly learning…just between quick naps, and will do everything to defend those he loves. He shares his time with Lulu, Ash's mysterious childhood friend, who is nothing short of the word beautiful, personified with her snow-white hair and emerald green eyes. Her only oddity...no one seems to look at her but Ash.

Suddenly, their life of peace gets uprooted. A girl with heterochromia eyes abruptly teleports them into another world--one where the fantasy books Lulu loves to read are now her and Ash's reality. 

They have to decide: Is their blooming relationship towards each other and this new world worth clinging on to if it means leaving behind everything? Or will they go back to how things were in their dull reality where Lulu is an oddity once more?

"Lulu, you need to hold him still," I heard Elaine cry. "I can heal him, Lulu, but I need you to stop crying and hold him down. It will hurt to look at, but he'll be okay."


I couldn't tell what was going on. I could hear Elaine, but I couldn't see her. I tried to open my eyes as they felt closed, but I could barely feel my body and couldn't seem to move even the slightest part of it. 


"Please, wake up, Ash! Please open your eyes!" I could hear Lulu yelling.


I felt a tear fall on my forehead, and the sound of it sizzling scared me. 


Did I get so severely burnt from that explosion that my skin was hot enough to boil water? Was that even possible? And was that why I couldn't feel anything?


Was I dying...again? Could I come back like before? Or was that just a one-time thing? Did some god take pity on me for being brought into this world by...Terra!
