  “Give me a taste of what you have been cooking.” She told them. Quickly, Ethan came over with the already grilled chicken before Bryan rushed over with the tantalizing sauce he had made.

  The duo placed it in front of her, she looked at the two bowls.

  “I am going to eat it all.” She told them before digging in. They stood before her and watched as she placed each of the food in her mouth. As he did, tears built in her eyes. She didn't know the reason she was crying perhaps because the memory of the past kept invading her and she was scared of what was next.

  She blinked the tears away, not wanting to cry again. She wasn't the weak Cassie anymore and she would never be that weak Cassie, not just for herself but for her children.

  “I am done.” She placed the plates into each other and then Bryan came over to pack the late. Unknowingly his hand grazed hers and there was a spark, she felt it in her whole body.
