Because They Are So Cool

A weapon with effect ? This was the first time a monster had dropped a weapon. This red wolf must be some special guy if he dropped such a high grade weapon. Level written on its belly was pierced through though. Do rare monsters exist in such low levels too ? Then again do they level up or just born with a level ? Why weren't more details written on them in books ? I had found only two books on monsters and even that from my father's office. But they were like an encyclopedia on their common species and it was very short. I need more information on monsters plus maybe I could get some new weapon that suits my style ? Should I pay the town a visit ?

I continued hunting monsters as I was thinking about all these things. Another 7 blue dots appeared on the third eye screen. Now that I think of it I only detected three wolves. The red one was neither shown as blue dot or red. Did it have some kind of hiding skill or my third eye doesn't work on rare monsters ? I guess I can't rely so much on third eye's info. I have to be prepared for more than what I can see. I slowed down and started rising in the air while running with my earth blocks. I reached near them as I saw 7 bat-like monsters flying ahead of me. They were half bat, half monkey with wings of bat and tails of monkey. It was called Batsquatch. They were on the same level as wolves and ogres but for those who can't fly they were a headache. Flying plus they attacked with projectiles like bits of acid that could melt even an iron sword. So they were pretty annoying for most people. But I just went behind them silently.

I was behind them and they didn't notice me so I launched one of my most powerful offensive skill – Inferno. I launched it at an angle that a tornado of fire went horizontal to the land engulfing all batsquatch. And then there was nothing. I couldn't even see ash.

I was just going to activate my third eye skill again when I noticed some figures in the woods below me. I quickly opened my third eye screen. 5 blue dots were going in the same direction as these bats were going. Was something happening ? Why were they all running in that direction and even more strange wind was also in that direction which means that these bats should have noticed me yet they didn't. I ran mid air in the direction of the blue dots. Soon I saw 5 ogres running at their max capacity. Now I was sure something was wrong ogres were extremely lazy and violent creatures, they just liked to swing their kanabo while standing in one place. Running was not in their nature except for some who had sprint. We were just running together now, me above and they below. But I was in range where they could notice me. I even threw one of my iron blades towards one of them. They turned their heads, screamed and continued running in the same direction as before. After some 10 minutes I saw a pack of wolves, at least 12 running on our left, 60 something goblins were also behind us making so much noise that no one could miss them. We were all running in a single direction. And then I saw an open area without trees. Approx. three football fields long open field. Where all kinds of different monsters were gathered and fighting something. Something big ! Monsters were flying everywhere, smoke was covering a lot of them. Then in the middle of a big enraging fire with such force and temperature….I saw that majestic figure !! Dark red scales, and eyes so big like crocodiles…. A living fire breathing, monster killing, A dark red Dragon !!!

A dragon in our Carnia forest ? I was stunned for a minute there. Dragons were powerful creatures; all recorded dragons were at least level 60. Carnia forest was only limited to level 30. Then i snapped out of it. I will think about that stuff later right now the dragon was fighting almost an army of monsters. There were more than 400 goblins, 80 ogres, 100 wolves, 40 something batsquatchs and I even saw 6-7 earth snakes. Earth snakes were weird monsters; they avoided all living creatures and ate nutrition from earth's minerals. They were dirt colored snake like beings but they had scales so hard even swords couldn't pierce through. All of them attacked a single dragon and yet it almost looked like an evenly matched fight. But it was not just brainless attacking, most of them were targeting dragons right side under his wing. I went a little near to get a better look and I saw why they were attacking there. Under the right wing of the dragon was a huge hole, red blood flowing through. It won't be able to continue like this. No matter how highly I thought of myself, fighting this many creatures was simply not possible even for me. And then I noticed some weird creatures mixed with them: a red wolf, green haired ogre, two purple goblins and one orange batsquach. It looked like they were issuing orders and the rest were following ? Was something like this even possible ? I could not fight them all but neither can I just let a dragon die !! They were so cool after all !!

And so I went to some height and produced almost 60 iron swords, I could not hit with accuracy at all with so many at once but I didn't need to because they were lined up perfectly in a group. And so I started my offense. As soon as my blades hit some of them all those leaders looked at me. And one of them said something or screamed. And all the Batsquatchs came after me at high speed. I threw another 60 blades almost half fell but still they were coming, I ran upwards as high as I could go before they reached near me now all of them were beneath me in line. Perfect as I wanted, I launched inferno vertically this time and I threw it with more force than usual. All the batsquatch and some of the monsters on land burned to ash. I had free rein so I just released 60 and 60 continuous rain of blades on all the monsters. I forced the monsters to split in two groups, and I instantly used the wall. And the open field area parted in two. In the middle was a huge almost 5 meters high earth wall. I came down behind the dragon. I had cleared this area so the dragon could fly but it didn't, then I thought maybe the monsters were too many in front that's why it wasn't flying, so I separated them in two. I threw five fireballs with perfect aim on one side and released a sky strike on another using master control. Dragon burned others to nothingness. The leaders were on the other side of the wall, and this was the perfect chance for it to fly away but still it was not even moving backwards. Maybe it was too injured to fly ?

I don't know what came to me but I just screamed at the dragon.

" Fly you big red moron !!! They will come from the sides in minutes !!! "

And nothing. But then it looked at me like it understood what I just said. I was scared shitless. No matter what, you do not want a big fucking dragon to understand your words when the first word you had used was a moron. His fire was 10 times bigger and more powerful than my Inferno. But then I noticed something strange. It looked at me once but after that it was looking at something behind me. I turned and saw a hole dug into the ground and there was a one golden egg, covered full of gorgeous patterns and scales ! A dragon egg !! Then I heard monsters coming from the sides and I turned around again. I guess the fight would not end just yet. I was mentally preparing myself when I heard a booming, loud, deep based voice from somewhere….

" Must…..protect...hu…human…."

A voice in my head ??????
