High Heal

I came back to life. Opening my eyes was painful. I could not see anything except bright light and listen to the chirping sounds of birds. At last I came to my senses. My whole body hurts. Some bones were broken, I could tell. Yet I stood up. Looked around and went back to the field, to the dragon.

There was no monster nearby. Me, the dragon's body, hundreds and hundreds of monster drops, and a golden egg. That's all there was on the open field. I went near the dragon and touched him or her. I didn't know what it was. I tried waking him up in vain efforts but it was gone. His body was cold. Sky was red with sunset, I did not know how long I was out. But wait, wasn't the dragon a monster ? Shouldn't its body turn to particles of natural magic ? It didn't, which means it's not a monster ?!! But all the books said it was a monster… Now that I think of it, no one had killed a dragon in centuries. Few who had done it before were all great heroes or adventurers of big stature. And Most books are not written by them….

What am I even thinking ! I should do something for him. Should I bury him ? But it's too late and I can't even walk straight. My whole body is bruised and hurting like hell. Hmm I have an idea but will it work ? If it is not alive anymore maybe I could ? I placed my right hand on the dragon's head. His scales were amazing….The pattern was so beautiful ! Alas, I could not save him. Instead it saved me from that last attack from purple goblin. He told me to protect his son…..his son !? It's just an egg. How does he know it's a boy ? Or maybe… I had heard somewhere in my old world that dragons have no gender. They adjust according to their needs or something like that. Anyway with my right hand on the dragon I imagined absorbing it but to be honest it was more like erasing it. My magicules shot up perfectly 8000. It probably had much more but my limit had reached I guess. But that was not all. Some chime type sound came from somewhere within me. It was the same sound I had heard when I leveled up, or acquired some new skill. I opened up my stats and surely I had leveled up to 5. And there was something more…I had another word beside my title as Savant. It read - Heart Of The Dragon.

I took the egg from the hole dragon had made. It was amazing piece of beauty. It also had scales and it was hot. Patterns on it were like some master artisan's art. I put it in my beg that i made. I had refill of my magicules so i went out of the field in to woods and put my hand on land beneath me and used earth manipulation to make the field a big crater, earth manipulation was on amazingly large ranged but it had no real battle use, because it was too slow. I covered it with my earth block creation, burying all drops of the monsters to keep them safe, I had no energy to check them today. I went up high in the air creating big enough platform to lie down. And I moved it with my skill slowly further. I could literally fly like aladdin's carpet like this but the down side was that it was even slower than normal walking. I had to constantly move it forward. I was in no condition to walk so this was the best way to move for now.

I came back to my empty tunnel room. I was battered and bruised so my clothes were all torn apart. I need to do something about it. I walked out of the room and started walking in the hallway towards my room. There was one maid who had healing skills, but she was pretty close to my mother. If I go to her she would know. I was hurt in many places, even had some broken ribs. I had to get healed. I guess I will have to reveal my little trips to the forest to everyone. I went to my room thinking such things but there was already someone inside. A small figure…a boy ?

" Rahil !! What are you doing here ? " I almost shouted.

He turned around from my bookshelf.

" Oh lady Neff !! I am sorry to just barge into your room, but your mother said I could stay here and read… I am so sorry…!!..Woah..! What happened to you ? Why are you so bruised ?? " he bellowed.

" Nothing serious. It's a big story I will tell you later. More importantly, I need to find our maid for healing…" I said.

" Let me heal you my lady !! " He said.

" huhh ? Can you do that ? "

" Yes !! I have learned many healing skills in past few days…" He said with big smile.

" Okay. Even better. " I said. And put my bag with dragon egg in the corner of my room on top of my study table.

" Hmuh !? is that an egg lady Neff ?? "

" Yes. Don't tell anyone about it. Come on, heal me. "

I sat on my bed. He stood in front of me and put his hands forward and started chanting….

And I was completely healed in seconds. Now that was something…!! I had seen healing skills but they always worked on small parts or healed only 10 or 20 % at once. You had to recast it over and over but this kid had healed my worst injuries in just one simple magic skill !!

" How did you do that ?? What kind of healing skill was that ? I asked amazed.

But before he could answer completely I felt so tired that I just laid down on my bed and fell asleep.

Next day I woke up and it was 9 o'clock in the morning. I was so tired I slept from evening to morning. I didn't realize at that time but now that I opened my stats I get it. My stamina was 60% full, which was below 15% last evening. That's why I felt so tired and sleepy. I went down for breakfast and saw mother and Rahil already on the dining table.

" Ohh, at last morning came for lady Neffrantini !! Why didn't you come down last night ? Are you feeling well ? You know father had to spend extra two hours last night in his office without you. " Mom started mumbling as soon as she saw me.

" I am fine…and isn't that his normal job ? Why would it take so much without me ? " I replied being comfortable in my seat.

" Lady Neff works ??! " Rahil was lost.

" She helps her father.." Said mother warmly.

" it's just Neff Rahil…how many times do I have to tell you ? and thanks for the last night. " I said.

" Ohh no no ! I am your retainer now. I must show proper respect…"

" If you keep calling me that you won't be my retainer for long.…" I said.

" Ahh ! Okay as you say la…Neff !! " He got it at last.

What lonely ? Mother always had to butt in everything. And we are just 4 and half what are you even thinking ? You rotten woman !??

" I wasn't feeling well so he healed me…and we are just 4 !! " I said.

" Ohh rahil has learned healing skills ? " She totally ignored my 4 year stuff.

" Yess my lady.." he almost bowed.
