Chapter 42: Captured

  The chains wrapped around my wrists and feet felt burdening, there was no soft mattress underneath me nor the soft caresses I have had gotten used to waking up to. My head was on the floor, not on his chest.

  I was alone and this was the same darkroom I had escaped a few months ago.

  I could feel the rapid beating of my heart and the lack of comfort at Kaden's absence. There was also this fear that made a pang cut sharp into my heart.

  Unlike how they had kept me all the years, this time there was a source of the light. A very small Ventana that was on the very high of the wall. The light crept in indicating that it was the early hours of the morning I had never got seen except for these few days with and those years with my family that now only remained in my mind like a faint memory I'd relish till they'd stay.
