Riley
I wake up in the middle of the night. My limbs are in misery, burning as if someone drenched me in oil and lit a flame.
"Oh-my-god..." I breathe, cursing the migraine building in my temples. It's an agonizing pain I'm suffering from, like a spreading infection pulsating through me.
How I'm still breathing is beyond me—that giant fairy did a number on my ribs and body. I never want to see a fairy ever again. The giant one with the red hair will haunt me for decades.
I shudder and try to push the image of his sharp teeth and blazing eyes out of my head. But fear is still sizzling underneath my skin because I know my mate is a fairy too.
I swallow in discomfort, wondering if William will turn into such a scary creature one day. I'm not sure what I would do if he ended up being that huge. Probably scream at the top of my lungs, and get away from him.
Speaking of William...
Is this his room?
