He’s My Mate

　　The moment I sunk my canines into Athena, I felt all her emotions smash into me. I was too distracted by everything I was feeling to notice that she hadn’t marked me back. After a minute the emotions seemed to settle down, and no wonder as when I looked at Athena, she was unconscious. I tried to wake her, but she didn’t stir, her breathing was shallow and her body cold. Grabbing my T-shirt from the floor I placed it over her body as I mind-linked her dad.


　　I sat there is shock as Alpha Jake and Luna Angel tried to wake their daughter without success. What had gone wrong, I knew if I had been an Alpha then my mark would have knocked her out, but I wasn’t, and neither was she.


　　“Henrik is on his way and so is the pack doctor. Hector, I need to know exactly what happened” my heart was beating frantically in my chest, I tried to speak but couldn’t assemble any words. “Hector snap out of it. What the fuck happened?”
