Chapter 29

Two friends of the opposite sex can do groceries together only if the man is not named as Hugo Saintclare. Even your name is already like a threat to single women and single moms who would mingle with you because of the power and fame you hold.

  It’s frustrating and guilt-tripping.

"Besides, I need to buy some foods for myself too. If you don't know, I’m staying in New York for a while." He adds as he tilt his head to the side to glance at me.

For a while? For how long?

Sign? Is this the sign? Maybe this is actually the sign for me to tell Hugo about our son together.

Every time I think about telling him the truth, I always worry and I always feel scared about how he would actually accept this. I always end up thinking about how he would accept Ben, how he would treat Ben and how his fiancee would accept this whole thing.

"I have some business to attend to so I am staying a little longer." He adds.

  I nod.
