A little later that night when everyone had left, Landon’s wound of his lower rib was bleeding and I hurriedly called for the nurses’ assistance to which they cleaned it for us. Hugo shockingly decided to stay behind and even volunteered to buy us dinner to which I agreed to because I want to stay with Landon as much as I can.
"Love?" Landon calls out.
I quickly approached him and sat next to him, “Yeah?”
“Can we talk for a second?”
I nod. “Of course.”
“First of all I am sorry.” He begins to say.
“About what?”
“About lying to you that night. I… My intentions were good and I had a good reason. I…” He exhales and looks away from me. “I--”
“Why did you have to lie to me and make me worry at the same time?” I asked him. “Did you know how worried I was for you? Did you have any single idea how I was on the verge of having a heart attack when I found out that you were shot?!”
“I am sorry.”
