Ezra’s Point Of View.
I WAS WHACKED all day so when I arrived at the hotel, I immediately fell into a profound sleep. Kiana spent the whole night here and didn’t leave. I can’t even remember how we got home last night, how many bottles did we empty, and what happened after I engrossed myself in drunkenness.
I woke up at 8:30 AM the following day, feeling extremely thirsty and with a dry throat. The light of dawn seeped into my room. I rubbed my bleary eyes and walked to the window. Seconds later, I felt a severe headache so I went back to bed and sat there for a moment. It’s probably the hangover.
After I sober up, I headed directly to the kitchen counter to drink water. Kiana was awake when I arrived there and she had already cooked our breakfast.
“Good morning,” she greeted me while preparing the plates on the table.
“Good morning.”
