CHAPTER 28

I was distracted from ruminating the same thoughts over and over again when Iñigo suddenly laughed out loud.

“Why are you laughing?” I asked, frowning.

“He has no problem,” he answered confidently.

I inhaled and exhaled. “How can you be sure?”

“I’m certain because I’ve known him since childhood and we’re obviously buddies. First of all, Ezra, Hyde’s parents work in different countries and they have no time to contact each other because both are alcoholic so they are unlikely to quarrel. Second, in gangs, he will never have a problem because he is our leader, he has a lot of personnel to command and we don’t lose in underground battles. Third, their business is one of the most developed and huge companies in the country,” he explained, which caused my jaw to go slack.

I have no idea about any of it. I guess I still don’t know much about Hyde, aside from him being a bad boy and the leader of a gang, and because of it, I was encouraged to get to know him better.
