  I sat there stunned; my mouth hanging open, eyes fixed wide, by the time two guys filled me in on everything that went down. If they weren’t so serious, I would have thought it was a cruel joke they had concocted. Until they told me the number of deaths we suffered and how my father was in a critical condition. My heart aches for those families that lost loved ones and sent a silent prayer for those who gave their lives.

  My first reaction was to go straight to the hospital, or at least go shower and change; by the smell, I assumed I was wearing one of Zane’s shirts right now. Even though I was tall, his shirt engulfed me and hung down mid thigh.

  I, immediately, mind linked my mom, who convinced me to stay where I was, I needed rest and that dad was in a stable state. And then Kellen.
