CHAPTER 38 – A Fairy Tale

  LAMIA 

  We found ourselves on the training field, yet again, I was currently teaching her advanced combat moves. She knew a lot from her dad, but he could only train her so much with his position in the pack and she hadn’t attended pack training because she feared being ridiculed because she was not a wolf. I scoffed at that.

  Zane hadn’t left my side, even accompanied me to the hospital and stayed while I visited my dad, who was still unconscious. He looked better though.

  Zane was leaving to go back to his pack in a week. He had to; as an Alpha, he had a pack to run and had been away long enough. He had left his Beta in charge, but a pack needed their Alpha. I understood. Didn’t mean I had to like it though. His Mom and sister left for home yesterday and I went to say goodbye to them, promising to see them soon. They were more than happy about mine and Zane’s pairing.
