CHAPTER 131

My eyes lifted to the Alpha again, Ocean blues met misty dull grey. I held his stare, both of us curling our lips, sneering at one another. He stood, a watchful eye on me when his lips began to curve into a cruel and menacing smile. A smile, full of evil.

“Lords, Ladies and Pack, I present to you our newest Gladiators!” He began a slow clap and the crowd, as if coming out of a trance or their stupor, began to clap and cheer.

He addressed them not like an Alpha but like he was some self-proclaimed king. He reveled in the crowds' cheers, thinking they adored him and were thanking him for bringing them this bountiful entertainment.

“You are no King! You are no Alpha! You are a coward!” I roared out, pointing my blood-soaked finger at him. “A leader protects the weak in the pack; they don’t enslave them and send them to their death. Only a man who is weak and cowardly does that!”
