He went towards Nathan to check his chains to make sure that he had not gotten loose during the night but found them intact and still secure.  He went towards Ellie and slapped her.  He ripped open her garments to that he could see what he was fighting for.  He spread her open on the table while Nathan tried to get loose from his bonds.
