　　We were merry all afternoon into the evening. Moons joined us, and Bloods were quick to mingle with them. The only people who were stuck up were the people in my father's generation. No one cared because they were a dying breed anyway. I learned that the ash in the moon territory had miraculously cleared overnight. I had asked them to keep the information from my father so that the moons wouldn't be asked to leave their homes. I was not going to keep it from him for long, just long enough for him to hand over the authority to me and officially step down, then I could act on the information.
