  I left the armoury immediately and returned to the packhouse. Everyone greeted me as I passed them. I came across Lola, and I smiled. Her face was riddled with shame, and she couldn't look at me. I thought she would have the audacity to call me to names again, but she couldn't. So much for wanting to be luna, now she was nothing, just a pack member. She had scorn in her heart but at the same time knew she could not do anything about it. It was her mother and father I wanted to see. Her father had beaten me up when he had the opportunity, and her mother had threatened, insulted and slapped me. If I had to put what they did into consideration, I should have her family exiled and left to fend for themselves in the ash world, but that would be petty, and I wasn't a petty person, so I just smiled and walked away.
