CHAPTER 72 ZIRA

We weren't on the road long until Isabella got a call. She pulled the car over to the side of the road. I started to panic but didn't show it. I waited for her to say something but she didn't. About five minutes in, I started to open my mouth when her side of the door opened.

“It’s going to be okay,” she said, getting out of the seat and letting Isaiah slide into the driver’s seat.

He looked at me and I noticed his gray eyes still held anger in them. My heart elevated as I pressed my back against the door facing him. For a moment I thought I was having another dream. My nerves started to calm when I saw Isabella slide into the back seat.

“Relax, Zira. I’m not going to hurt you,” Isaiah growled as he pulled off, keeping his gaze on the road.
