CHAPTER 163 The Secret Tunnel

Isaiah walked out of the bathroom, drying his hair, when he noticed Zira angrily throwing the bed pillows on the floor. He couldn’t help but laugh as she huffed around looking for something else to throw around.

“Zi, you need to relax. Arias told us everything and Lana didn’t hurt him like we originally thought.”

“I don’t know Isaiah. When I walked in there, I sensed something familiar but couldn’t quite figure it out. Especially with her kicking us out so fast. She’s hiding something. I just know it.”

“Maybe you’re right, but right now we don’t have…”

“Don’t say it,” Zira snapped. “The last time we had a conversation like this your crazy ex-mate was trying to kill me.”

Isaiah walked over to her and grabbed her hands. “Hey, it will never be like that, Zi. I do believe you. Councilman Faulkner, on the other hand, might need a bit more convincing. So, until we,” he stressed, “can convince him, let’s stay on course with Arias.”
