13. Ghosting?

Tommaso's first impression of his new friend's house was completely denied in a few single moments. He imagined, even if he couldn't say why, a much larger room furnished in a particular style, almost elegant. But he was very wrong: he should have imagined that not everyone in Rome could afford who knows what, including Simone.

It was a simple and quiet house, one of those that most out-of-town students could afford with a long corridor and multiple rooms, divided into two bathrooms, a shared kitchen and finally what were supposed to be bedrooms. There was no one there except the two boys and the dirty white walls faded due to the humidity surrounded the two, who headed to the master's room. There no one, not even the presumed roommates, would disturb them.
