When she saw him, she squeezed her eyes to properly look. She sat on the bed and said, "What am I doing here?" She opened her surroundings and then noticed that Dylan was sleeping on the sofa next to her bed. At once, she became mesmerized by the beauty of Dylan when the sunlight fell on his face, his hair scattering across his forehead, and those dry lips of his. She shook the thought away and said, "Emir, what is he doing here, and why is he sleeping on the sofa?" She said in shock but corrected herself, "Why am I calling him Emir? Isn't his real name Dylan?" That made her remember everything, and she passed out, trying to get out of the room, but her hand got stuck. "Ouch!" she shouted, seeing her hands locked with handcuffs connected to the bed. "What, seriously, handcuffs?" Ember said in an unbelievable tone.
The sound of pain from Ember's mouth made Dylan wake up from his uncomfortable sleep. "You're awake," he exclaimed when he saw Ember sitting on the bed. She looked at him, and their eyes met, but Ember turned away instantly, pouting her face in anger and facing the other side.
"Why are you not answering?" he asked. He was about to embrace her when she woke up, but her reaction from the eye contact made him sit back on the sofa.
"I don't want to talk to you," Ember said.
"Why don't you want to talk?" Dylan asked with concern. Ember lifted her hand in the air and said, "Oh! I almost forgot about this, but I'm not opening this," she said, making cute pleading eyes in front of Dylan, "Can you please open this for me? Actually, I need to go to the washroom."
Dylan couldn't resist and agreed, "Okay, I'm opening it, but don't try to ru..." He didn't even finish speaking when Ember ran as soon as the handcuffs were removed from her hands. She ran toward the door, but before opening it, she turned to Dylan's side, made a funny face, and stuck her tongue out to tease him. When she tried to pull the door open, she found it was also locked. When Ember turned her face and saw Dylan, he had the same mischievous look, "I knew you'd try to run, so I was prepared. See how thoughtful I am," Dylan said with a playful smile.
"Stop it! Emir, just open the door. Oh! I almost forgot. Why am I calling you Emir? Aren't you the superstar Mr. Dylan?" Ember said with a smirk.
Dylan took steps closer to Ember until he was right beside her, but she took steps back until she stopped because of the wall behind her. Dylan leaned closer to her, still carrying a sad smile on his face, and said, "You can call me whatever you want to call."
"Is it really that easy for you to say? I can't take it," she said with tears in her eyes. When Dylan saw the tears in her eyes, he couldn't stop himself and forced a kiss on her lips, a deep one that caught Ember off guard. "I can't breathe!" she said between the kiss, but Dylan wasn't letting her go. Ember struggled to free herself, but she couldn't muster enough strength. Their lips finally separated, and Ember gasped, "You brute!"
"Calm down. If you don't, I think I will lose my control," Dylan said while again capturing her lips. "Stop! Stop! I can't breathe!" Ember said in between that dominating kiss. But after a few seconds, she stopped struggling. Dylan returned to his normal self and realized what he had done in his dominance. He released Ember, and she fell to the floor, trying to catch her breath, coughing.
When he looked at Ember's face, which was always full of smiles but was now filled with tears and fear in her eyes, he tried to get close to her to offer comfort. However, Ember shook his hand off and said, "You are an animal! How dare you kiss me or treat me like this?" Her body trembled, and the fear of Dylan's touch made his heart ache.
"She is just trying to escape, and she ran towards the door of the bathroom, but Dylan tried to hold her hand and make her sit near him. At that time, their faces were inches apart, and that made Ember more embarrassed, and she blushed when her eyes landed on Dylan's lips. "Are you blushing?" Dylan asked.
"No, I am not," Ember replied while turning her face away.
"Why don't we sit and talk properly?" Dylan suggested.
"No, we can't," Ember said with a sad expression.
"If we don't talk, how are we supposed to clear the misunderstanding between us?" Dylan said with a saddened look on his face. "There is no misunderstanding between us, and what you did today? There is nothing to get clear," Ember said in a displeased tone. Dylan loosened his grip from Ember's hand, and Ember tried to take advantage of the situation. She ran towards the washroom again, but this time Dylan held her hand and couldn't let her make it. However, he gripped Ember's dress sleeves, and in the struggle, her sleeves tore apart. This made the situation even more awkward, and Dylan froze and released Ember. Ember ran towards the washroom, closed the door, and slid near it. Her eyes burst into tears, and she couldn't control it.
When Dylan heard Ember cry out loud, he sat near the door and tried to solve this. "Ember, I am really sorry for what I've done to you until now. I know I've been selfish from the start, not telling you about my true self. I am really sorry. I am the only person to blame for all this," Dylan said with sadness in his eyes.
"Sob! Sob! Why didn't you tell me your real name and identity?" Ember said.
"I had my reasons for it," Dylan said. "What could be the reason that's stopping you from revealing your true self?" Ember asked.
"Actually, I was going to tell you this when we came back, but you looked tired, so I wanted you to freshen up, and then I would tell you with a clear mind. I didn't mean to hide it for so long," Dylan explained.
Ember said, "You didn't want to hide it for long? From the second day, I started getting clues that you were hiding something from me. So many times I heard people calling you Dylan instead of Emir, but I tried hard not to show it and waited for you to tell me. But yesterday, my patience broke, and I couldn't take it any longer. Cough! Cough!"
"Are you alright?" Dylan asked, waiting for Ember's answer, but there was no reply. Then he started to explain everything from the start. "You know, when I saw you for the first time, the bright sunshine on your face made my heart flutter, and I knew I was in love with you at that moment. When you asked me about myself, I didn't know, but my heart felt that if I told you I was an actor at first, what image would you form of me? Being an actor, everybody judges me by my acting. I wanted to show you my true self without the title of a superstar. I wanted you to get closer to me, not because I am an actor. I meet many girls every day who judge me by my acting, my looks, my money, and they don't even try to know me. You know, I am public property; every matter of mine is news, and that makes me look bad or good in public opinion. But I wanted to have an ordinary love life. I thought if I didn't tell you, you could see the real me and not care about what others say. I didn't want you to make any judgments based on news. I wanted you to believe in me, not what others say. That's why I used my friend's name at that time," he said with guilt.
"So, your friend's name is Emir, whom I met on the first day at college and at the restaurant too?"
"Yes, he is my friend. Can you forgive me now? I just want you to live happily with me, knowing my true personality," Dylan said with hopeful eyes.
Ember slowly opened the door. When Dylan noticed the door was open, he quickly embraced her and said, "I will never lie to you again, and I will not allow you to leave my side." He couldn't control himself and burst into tears. Ember also cried hard and said, "Hmm, I will never leave you, and don't you ever leave me alone." They both cried until they got tired. Then Dylan realized it was almost evening. When they tried to get up from the floor, Ember's legs got numb, and she was about to fall, but Dylan held her and they were inches apart, making Ember blush. She pushed him away, but he held her tight and gently picked her up bridal style and placed her on the bed. "What are you doing?" Ember asked, but Dylan placed his finger on her lips. "Just lay down here. I will go get something to eat," Dylan said and left the room.
When Ember was alone in the room, she checked that her dress was torn. So, she stood up from the bed and went to the washroom to take a bath.
After some time, Dylan came back, but when he didn't see Ember in the room, he panicked and started searching. When he saw the washroom door locked, he rushed to open it. "Aaaaa! Dylan, get out!" Ember shouted because she was changing. Dylan turned around and said, "Sorry, I just panicked when I didn't see you in the room. Sorry," and shut the door.
When she finished changing and came out, Dylan was sitting on the bed. She could feel that he was looking at her. When Ember stepped out from the washroom, Dylan couldn't stop staring at her. Her hair was wet, and she was drying it with a towel. When she looked at him, he was already looking at her. Their eyes met, and Ember stepped towards Dylan, making both their heartbeats race. She sat near Dylan and patted his head, "What's happening? What are you thinking?" Ember asked.
Dylan held her hand and said, "Just mesmerized by your beauty."
"You are flattering me," Ember said. Dylan passed the soup to Ember to eat. "Finish it," he said and looked at the one bowl. Ember asked, "Aren't you going to eat?"
"I will, but first you finish," he said.
"No, come, let's eat together," Ember insisted, and Dylan agreed. They ate dinner together.
"Ember, are you feeling discomfort anywhere? Or do you have a headache?" Dylan asked in concern.
"I'm feeling a little bit of a headache, but after eating, I feel better," Ember replied.
"May I call a doctor?" Dylan asked in concern.
"No, you don't have to," Ember said, holding Dylan's hand to stop him. "Are you really okay?"
"Yes," Ember assured him. "I am really sorry for what happened in the past and today. I just couldn't control myself," Dylan said while looking into Ember's eyes.
"I will forgive you when you prove to me that you really love me," Ember said with a pout.
"Okay, okay, I will prove it
to you so I can regain my position as your boyfriend," he said with a smirk and rubbed Ember's hair. It was fun for him because Ember's hair was wet, and water sprinkled on Dylan's face. Ember held Dylan's hand and said, "Stop it. If you don't, I'll end up having a headache again." When he listened, he stopped and said, "Let me dry your hair," and got the dryer for her. He sat at her back for drying. When he started blowing her hair and tried to talk to her, "Hey, Ember, where do you want to go?" He waited for a few seconds, but there was no answer, so he checked. But Ember had fallen asleep. He gently placed her on her bed and covered her with a quilt. "You are so tired today, and you cried all day. I'm so sorry. This will not happen again. I will be more gentle with you," Dylan said while kissing her forehead. He turned off the light and left the room."
