His presence was terrifying.

He's horrible! Maria greeted me despite my angry stare.

"Daina, congratulations! I never believed you'd become Mr.Stephan Buther's mate. I'm sure your parents, are beaming from heaven," he added loudly, as if she wanted to tell everyone my identity.

I heard murmurs as they started talking about my family.

"Was Daniel the late Alpha of Moonlight Pack, and Daina of Green Woods?"

Maria clasped my hand and smiled maliciously.

"Remember when we were kids and I wanted to go close to you but couldn't?

Oku interrupted as I started to reply.

"You're longtime friends? Then why didn't you approach Daina?"

Maria blurted out, "She's terrible luck. Anyone who gets near to her will suffer, maybe even die. The previous Alpha and Luna of the Moonlight Pack perished because of her!"

Maria covered her lips in faux amazement when the crowd erupted.
