Chapter 8

After Yumeko regained her sanity, Meguro made her change since she was a mess.

While she was changing, Meguro was looking out the window of his room with a lollipop in his mouth while thinking. 'She's exactly as I've heard from other people.

I wanted to see just how far her gambling addiction can take her and I have to say...

It will probably take her to the end.

He touched his hair and thought. 'Well, with that addiction comes her insane skills and will to not go into despair.

Being in that much debt would make someone get into despair instantly.

But not only did she not feel any fear or despair, she was thrilled and excited.

I wonder what kind of trouble she's caused at the academy.

Talkin bout the academy, I haven't been there for a long time too.'

He looked behind since he heard the sound of a door opening and he saw Yumeko dressed in brand new clothes.

Well, those brand new clothes are basically the same as the clothes she wore earlier.

Since Meguro has some connections with the academy, he is able to get ahold of multiple uniforms.

She looked pretty happy about something.

She came near Meguro who sat down on a couch and said excitedly after sitting next to him. "Thank you for the exciting match !

This was probably one of the most exciting gambles I've ever had!"

Meguro looked at her and said with a smile. "You're welcome.

Hope you enjoyed your day here at our casino."

She nodded and said. "I enjoyed my day here but I really look forward to gambling with you again!"

Meguro had a smile on his face and he thought. 'I don't look forward to gambling with you though.'

"I look forward to gambling with you too."

She moved closer to him on the couch and said while looking at his eyes with her crimson eyes. "If you'll come to the academy again can u gamble with me?"

Meguro looked at her with a blank expression and thought. 'Going back to the academy...?

I don't really want to though.

First I had one reason to not go but now I have two.

You and the student council president are too alike and I can't handle two people cut from that same twisted cloth.'

He smiled slightly and said. "Sure, I'll make sure to remember."

She got up from the couch and said excitedly. "Great!

Well, I have to visit someone so I'll leave for today.

See you again!"

Meguro smiled with his eyes closed and said while waving his hand at Yumeko who has getting out of the room. "Bye."

After she got out of the room, the expression on his face turned stoic instantly.

He got up from the couch and went outside on the balcony.

He took the lollipop out of his mouth and thought while looking at the round little piece of candy that remained. 'Now there is one more troublesome person that I'll have to deal with in some kind of way, as if the current head of the hundred devouring families wasn't enough.

Father has his own thoughts and I have mine too, but our goal is ultimately the same.

To take ahold of Japan and then expand overseas.

Personally, I'm aiming for all of the things that this world has to offer.

I want to take ahold of the whole world..'

He threw the lollipop over the balcony and thought while looking at it with a cold expression. 'And I won't let anyone get in my way, be it an organization or even a country.'

A small laugh escaped his lips and he said out loud. "Heh, from being a bug that struggled to live in my previous life.

A day passed and Meguro was sitting in the back of a matte black Rolls Royce Phantom that had it's windows tinted fully black.

The car was naturally as bulletproof as it could possibly be since today he was going to attend an important meeting.

There was only he and the driver in the car, the driver being an old man with white hair that was slicked back and a white mustache.

The man driving his car was one of his father's most trusted subordinates, maybe the most trusted one since Meguro knew him for as long as he could remember.

From what he knew, this guy was as trustworthy there is in this industry.

He was on his way to one of the Yamashita's family estates in Tokyo.

They were already on a private street that was owned by their family and it was only this car on the road.

Who was Megumi meeting, that would be his father.

He hasn't seen his father in a long time so he had to visit him, together with telling him about how the visit with the special guest went.

Toake Yamashita, the head of the family is a person who doesn't like showing his face in public so his whereabouts aren't known to a lot of people, even among the executives.

The car stopped in front of a big estate that was very traditional looking.

The estate was surrounded by tall and thick walls that had some roots on them, making them look very old.

At the gate there were three people, two of them stood at each side with guns in their hands and the other stood in the middle of the road with his hands behind his back.

The car stopped in front of the gate and the man who had his hands behind his back came at the driver's window and saw who was driving since the window was rolled down.

The man's eyes widened seeing the old man driving and the man that was in the backseat.

Sitting in the backseat was Meguro who had his hair styled in it's usual forward style.

Even though regular people didn't really know how Meguro looked, just seeing the man driving and Meguro's white hair was enough for the man to realize who Meguro was.

The man took looked at the two men standing at the gate and signaled them something and they started opening the gate with their bare hands.

The gate was made of heavy wood so it required a lot of strength to open them but the two men opened it all by themselves.

After they opened the gate, the man near the window bowed and said. "Thank you for your hard work!"

Meguro nodded and the window rolled back up with the car driving inside.
