Toake supported his chin with his hand and asked while looking at his son. "I've received reports about how great the visit was from the special guest.

But I want to hear it from you personally."

Meguro was leaning backwards and supporting himself with his arms on the ground, he opened his mouth and responded. "It went well and she doesn't seem to pose a threat to us right now.

She's a gambling addict in the true sense of the word.

Right now Yumeko's not a threat to us but the same can't be said about Kirari.

After all Kirari is the student council president of Hyakkaou Private Academy that means she now holds the biggest power in the world, since children of powerful individuals from all over the country are under her thumb."

The look in his father's eyes changed for a second and he said. "We were talking about Yumeko, let's not stray off the topic."

Toake nodded and said. "That's a good thing.

The only major obstacle in our way being the Momobami family.

Even though some other families think they are stronger than us since we keep some things to ourselves, if we chose to attack them they would crumble in no time.

And you are the only thing that's holding these peaceful times together.

When it came to business affairs, Toake was someone who only cared about the results.

Meguro looked his father dead in the eyes and said. "I understand."

Even though he didn't really like being ordered around, killing his father was out of the question since he would just get hunted down by the old man outside and the entire family.

He was basically trapped in this family forever.

Only if he becomes the head, can he do whatever he wants.

But he was okay with his current situation since orders could only be received from his father personally and they weren't that often.

Toake closed his eyes and said. "That's good.

I have other things to do today so you can leave."

Meguro nodded and said while getting up and leaving. "Good luck with your work."

When they first talked it would seem like they had a good relationship, but it was actually more messed up than this.

Maybe it was because of their blood, but they both didn't trust each other with their secrets or life.

And in the end, Meguro was his father's subordinate so an order from the head was an order.

Meguro got out of the room and saw that Hikoichi was sitting outside the door with his hands behind his back and his eyes closed.

Hikoichi opened his eyes and said while looking Meguro in the eyes. "My job today is done, now I'll stay by your father's side.

Another driver is already waiting for you in the car.

Meguro smiled and said while going past him. "No problem.

Meguro walked forward without looking back and thought with a smirk on his face. 'What troublesome old men.

My father is really strong and Hikoichi is said to still be stronger than him.

Just the presence of these two was enough to make me reconsider some of my actions from the past.

Let's not talk about the strongest member who these two apparently don't stand a chance against...'

It was hard to believe, but there was actually someone even stronger than the two of them combined, and that was the security executive.

Someone who on the surface worked as a bouncer but he was actually someone who took of most of the dirty business inside the family.

Even Meguro was somewhat wary of this man just because of his individual strength and connections.

When working in the underworld in his first years of being an active member, this person was his superior and mentor.

Thinking about that man, the smirk on Meguro's face disappeared and was replaced by an emotionless expression. 'If I have to ever fight that man I have to avoid doing it barehanded.

Even though Meguro had a good relationship with Torai, he knew what kind of man he was.

When acting upon orders, personal feelings aren't involved in this family.

So if Torai was ever ordered to kill somebody, no matter his relationship with that person, he'll do it.

The level of devotion to the head's orders was fearsome, but this was one of the things that Meguro liked about his family.

It wasn't even loyalty towards the head itself, but rather the position.

Of course, even if the head were to die, not just anyone could replace him.

But if that ever happened, the first in line to fill in the roll was Meguro.
