The atmosphere seemed to freeze after I had said that. Furthermore, instead of pulling out his sword, the Prince turned to me, a vicious smile on his face.

After which his countenance converted back to it's usual stoic. "Cart 'her' away."
It all just came manifesting to me now. I had been tricked me!
My compliant pretense had been simply shattered. I instantly lost the voice to speak anymore.
Suddenly reverting from the timid Marcus who dared not to talk back, to the fearless patron, was indeed suspicious. Again, I had let my emotions get the hold of me.
