I waited anxiously, staring at my phone, waiting for a reply. I'd held back long enough. Even though I got the number ages ago, this was my first time using it. I did want her to be the first to text me, but that didn't matter so much, as long as she replied.

Not long after I'd sent the message, I got one back, and my eyebrows shot up as I grinned.

Finally, I was going to score with Sandra. She was a cheerleader I'd been dating for about four weeks. The one that no one could get up close and personal with. She'd said yes to me when I asked her out, and I'd played the part of a gentleman for the past month.

It was about time we moved on from that.

Since we pretty much knew the same people and hung around the same places since I was an athlete, we'd never texted before now. I'd heard a lot about her from mutual friends, so I wasn't sure, but since she was going along with the line of my text, I had to think she wanted this as much as I did.
