"It's not that I'm attracted to Summers, okay," i explained with a heavy sigh to Khloe as I pace my bedroom, "he's just so irritating. His ego is so enflamed, and he thinks that because he's a Beta that he can get whatever, and whoever he wants." I cross my arms over my chest and glare at Khloe, who is now laughing at me from across the room.
"Whatever you say, L," she states and puts her hands up in fake submission, "but it sounds like you got it bad for the bad boy." I roll my eyes and continue to pace. I've been uneasy ever since we had the meeting with our pack about which pack was going to be our ally during the Rogue and Wolf Hunters war.
The meeting went fairly normal. The Omegas grumbled in the corner during the whole meeting. The Patrol wolves got a little excited at the fact that we would have more partners, and therefore less shifts for everyone involved. The Hunters were cautious about adding wolves to our hunting grounds, but also giddy to be getting new hunting partners.
I, being the Beta of the pack, wasn't too happy during the meeting. Not only would I have to share our pack information with another Beta from another pack, but I would also habe to share my sleeping quarters with them. Why? Because pack houses were built and designed to have only one room for the Beta, and one room for the Alpha. So since we're combining two packs into one pack house, I'm going to have to share my room with someone else. I'm not happy. That's the only place I have an privacy, and it's about to be invaded by some other wolf.
Now, don't get me wrong. I will do anything for my pack, so I was very willing to let all of this happen. Until Damien finally announced, at the end of the meeting, the name of the pack that will be joining us for God knows how long.
"I am proud to announce that we will be joined by the Hellhound Reserve," Damien's voice still rings in my ears, "they'll be arriving within two days time." That's how he decided to end our pack meeting. I wouldn't care, normally. We have to do what needs to be done for the safety of our pack and our land. As Beta, I completely agree with packs joining forces and helping each other take down common enemies. I would much rather see them working together instead of fighting each other.
That's not the part that bothers me. The part that really damn well bothers me is the fact that it's the ahellhound Reserve. Which means bad boy Summers, the Beta, is going to be here. Which means I will have to share my room, and sleeping quarters with him.
"Khloe," I half way growl in her direction, "I don't have a problem with any part of the pack's plan. If it was anyone else, I would be welcoming them with open arms into my room. But it's not just anyone, it's Zeke Summers."
Khloe rolls her eyes and grins at me. "What's so wrong with having him here? L," she looks my face up and down and notices the partial concern I'm hiding, "he's just another Beta. He may be a dick, but at least he's good looking." She winks at me and I try to smirk, and fail horribly. She is the only one I trust telling everything to, and it's hard for me to even tell her this. I never wanted this to happen, but it did.
"You can't tell anyone, Khloe," I glare at her as she nods and scoots closer to me, "but Zeke," i pause and take a deep breath. I can't believe these words are coming out of my mouth, "is my mate."
