The Children - 3

A Few Days Back:

The night after I slept with my brother, as if the fates had condemned our taboo, he disappeared.

Well, not exactly.

When I had woken up that morning, I had been met with the sight of the husk of his body in the living room.

At that point, I couldn't think anymore.

The one person I had left in this world, the person I loved with all my heart, had died, just like that.

My heart and world completely shattered.

My brain stopped functioning.

Tears flowed down my cheek like rivers, but I wasn't feeling sad... All I felt was empty.

Once again, just like that fateful day, I just stood their frozen in the face of shock, but this time, due to my brother not being here, I just stood there for the rest of the day.

That was, until a particular man arrived.

He was wearing peculiar dress and had semi-long black hair that was spiked downwards.

"Are you hurt?"

The man looked at me interestingly.

"Do you want to scream your heart out?"

I nodded, but that was all that I showed, I was now wearing a porcelain mask over my face.

"I understand."

"If I arrived here half a day earlier, maybe your brother wouldn't have died."

"But I can't turn back the time."

"Do you want to unleash your fury?"

"The powerful and pure rage of unforgiveness will become an unwavering force driving your limbs."

"Do you want revenge?"

I nodded.

"Then show me..."

Before he could even finish, I had already arrived in front of him, before palming a sewing needle out of my sleeve and trying to pierce the underside of his chin with it.

But, he leaned back at the last second, and the needle only pierced through air.

"You're a fast one."

Acknowledging his words, I continued to stab at him, using the needle like a tiny rapier.

But, he dodged each and every one of my attacks with the least bit of movement possible.

After a long while, almost a whole day, I stopped, thinking that this was a useless waste of time from this moment forward.

"Why did you stop?"

Pointing at my mouth, I shook my head, indicating to him that I was mute.

Gesturing to the floor, I then proceeded to use my needle to write out,

"It is just a waste of time at this point. I must go and plan more before I engage you again."

He read over my words thoughtfully, before turning around abruptly and walking towards the door.

"Go to the foot of Sagiri Mountain."

"Find an old man called Sakonji Urokodaki."

"Tell him that Giyu Tomioka sent you."

"He will train you to become a Demon Slayer."

"May your journey produce fruit for your soul."

With those last words, he disappeared.

That girl was a strange one.

She had the persistence to do whatever she set her mind to, and the intelligence to fall back whenever she knew that no amount of persistence could help her win.

And, according to reports, 6 years ago, her parents had been killed by demons, and now her brother.

She would be a fine seed to watch grow, but, whether she chose the path of rage, or if she came to terms with the demons in her heart, her path would be her's to choose.

I had helped her start her journey down the path, and it was only a matter of time before she reached these crossroads.

'I hope I made the right decision.'

...

In only the span of two days, I had met two interesting youths.

The first was the girl I mentioned above, but the second was this boy who had done everything he could to protect his sister, who had been turned into a demon.

I had been late once again, and it seemed that Muzan had completely killed the sibling's entire family in a fit of hunger, before turning the oldest daughter into a demon.

Although, it seemed that for some reason, apparent from the blood trail that was leading away into the forest, Muzan had taken a slab of flesh with him from the youngest sibling that was just a baby.

Well, it wasn't my job to poke into the minds of demons, so I continued with my next mission.

I could only leave the boy with the same help after testing his qualifications as a demon slayer.

"Urokodaki, you'll be teaching two curious students soon enough, I hope you're up for the task."

I disappeared into the storm of ice and snow.

The Present:

This child was getting more and more interesting.

He was already a strong child, evident in the fact that he had somehow resisted that much of my blood entering him at one time, but, he still claimed that he was weak.

He somehow knew about the 12 Kizuki, which was something that a villager like him should have never known.

And finally, from our talk, it seemed like this child had seen the future.

Of course, I wasn't going to believe it right away, but the way he wrote about it seemed like he was certain that he had seen the future.

As to why he needed to kill this "Kamado Tanjiro", well, I was completely lost.

Well, he was my child now, so, I had many years to probe him for more information, and, as for this "Kamado Tanjiro" character, I would just leave it in his hands.

This was what I intended to do with my newest child.

I stared at the blue screen in front of me.

[Task:

Option 1: Kill "Kamado Tanjiro"

Option 2: Break apart the Demon Slayer Corp

Option 3: Eat 100,000 people

Once one of these options are met, the task will be deemed complete, and the user will be transported to the next world.

Good Luck!]

This was all that I had gotten from that shitty god, and that was probably the only thing I would get from that shitty god.

'Well, I have already chosen what path I will take, so let's get to training.'

And so, I started the most hellish experience of my life.
