Chapter 15 Centre Of Attention

About a kilometer away from the Demonic Cliff Sect's Gate, a cloud of dust appeared. Naturally this wasn't any normal cloud of dust, but rather one created by 10 golden carriages each being pulled by 2 white horses. At the front of each carriage the name "Royal Academy" was engraved on it.

To anyone with half a brain it was clear who had arrived. The famed Royal Academy, the only place that trained cultivators that was comparable to the Demonic Cliff Sect within the Flood Dragon Kingdom. There was also another implication, the various Noble Clan heirs would also be arriving.

This was quite nerve wracking for the disciples. Compared to them the Noble Clans were far too high, some Noble Clans were in charge of cities, while others relied on vast wealth. Many disciples dreamed of establishing their own Clans in the future.

Simultaneously quite a number of disciples were gazing at Chen Fang and Chen Zemin. Out of all Clans, Noble or otherwise, only one Clan sent their children to the Demonic Cliff Sect, that being the Chen Clan. This wasn't because they couldn't afford the exorbitant prices of the Royal Academy but rather it wasn't appropriate.

Regardless these weren't matters that concerned the disciples to them all Clans were the same, mighty existences that stood far above them.

"Clip-clop! Clip-clop! Clip-clop!"

About a minute later, the carriages came to a stop just 20 meters away from the gate of the Demonic Cliff Sect. A few seconds later, numerous people disembarked from the carriages.

"So this is the Demonic Cliff Sect?"

"Its just as imposing as the rumors."

"At least this trip hasn't been disappointing."

The students discussed amongst themselves as they lined themselves according to their different classes. Each and every student was not only a genius, but one who had been fed various resources making them much more powerful than the disciples on average.

"The Royal Academy has arrived!" One of the teachers declared. This was merely a formality, after all the various disciples supervisors and even the Elder in charge of greeting them could see them.

"Greetings Head Teacher Shui, we're honoured that you and your Academy have decided to visit our humble Sect." The Elder in charge replied before ushering in the Royal Academy and their teachers.

As they entered the Sect the students continued discussing amongst themselves. "I guess this is merely a field trip. Haa, there's never anyone interesting." A golden haired boy remarked.

"Don't say that brother, you never know what crouching tigers and hidden dragons may be lurking." A similarly golden haired girl replied.

These two were at the front of the group just behind the Head Teacher. Because of this everyone could see them, and many were listening in on them. In fact many of the disciples wished to give the boy a lesson but they were held back by the supervisors.

"Are you all stupid, don't you know who they are? That's the Crown Prince and the First Princess are you trying to be executed?" The supervisors warned them, immediately stunning the disciples. It was called the Royal Academy for a reason.

"While I doubt any of our disciples can match your Royal Highness, it isn't because our disciples are weak but rather that you're too talented." The Elder explained, trying to diffuse the situation somewhat. At least this way it sounded as if the Crown Prince was too strong not that the disciples were weak.

The Elder then continued giving a tour of the Sect to the students, and the disciples were forced to tag along. While the students were enjoying the scenery as they'd never been to the Demonic Cliff Sect before, the disciples were getting bored. In fact if not for the various beauties within the Royal Academy, they'd have up and left by now.

"Now we've reached the training grounds." The Elder introduced when suddenly a loud explosion like sound resounded.

"BOOM!"

"Hahaha! Finally the 5th Stage." A voice echoed out. Then the voice began to approach the group, the noise of his steps clear in all of their ears. And soon the figure came into view.

He was dressed in white robes, and full of sweat. His medium length black hair was in a mess, but his eyes were filled with pride at that moment, until he noticed the large group in front of him. 'I took too long didn't I.'

Immediately Mo Xiaowen's face reddened his eyes darting to the side. Over 500 people were looking at him, some in shock, others in curiosity, but regardless they all made Mo Xiaowen feel quite nervous. He had never been stared at by so many people before.

"Who are you, what is your batch number, and why were you here when you should've been in the greeting party?" The Elder demanded answers his eyes locked onto Mo Xiaowen.

"Ahem, my name is Mo Xiaowen, I am from batch number 898, I was here in the training grounds instead of the greeting party because I needed to breakthrough to the 5th Stage." He answered as concisely as he could.

Hearing this the disciples, the supervisors and even the Elder were shocked. They had heard him before, but they weren't sure if he was being serious, but now this confirmed. Not only that, but within batch 898, there was yet to be a 5th Stage cultivator, at least till now.

In fact the Elder couldn't help but crack a smile albeit for the briefest of moments. "See I was right brother." The First Princess broke the silence, to which the Crown Prince cracked a smile.

Naturally Mo Xiaowen's eyes darted towards the pair, which ended up with him making eye contact with the Crown Prince. In an instant he felt a shiver down his spine. 'This guy, he isn't a regular person.' Mo Xiaowen noted.

'He looks like a worthy opponent.' The Crown Prince thought before smiling towards Mo Xiaowen. Seeing this Mo Xiaowen shivered once again.

'Why is he smiling at me? Is he gay? But I don't like men like that!'
