The Opera

The masquerade party Kalden wanted to attend had been taken care of by Shye. He had been listed as a guest named Archer. The invitation had been in Kalden's hands and Kalden saw a red-shirted invitation with thick golden ink.

The red envelope had a mask logo with something curved at the bottom of it. Either it is a semicircle, or it is a saucer.

Kalden tilted his head. After the time walked closer to the time the show was about to begin, Kalden stood up from his place.

"You get ready. Another half an hour we set off."

"Okay, Count."

Kalden left Shye still looking down on his study. Now he was about to prepare inside his room and to visit the fun things at that opera party.

Kalden washed his body with warm water and red flower petals floating in his bath water. Kalden tapped his finger in the bathtub, trying to digest all the information inside his brain and worked very quickly.

After finishing his bath, Kalden put on a black after and used a brown magic wig, and he touched the mask his servant had prepared on the table, a mask that only covered both his eyes and a little of his right side, a mask made of silver with one drop of red tears on the right.

Kalden noticed his reflection in the mirror, his appearance now is very appropriate, he also used a black-colored cane that helped him walk well, when his feet stepped, the stick he was holding sounded, the door opened and Kalden could see Shye who had prepared.

He tilted his head, looking at Shye who was disguised in a bright blonde slightly long wig. Looks like a real connoisseur of opera, and the mask he used was similar to a cat mask with an annoying face.

"You must assume we're having fun."

"No, Count. I take this as a serious task."

Tap!

Kalden jerked his wand, and the audible 'tap' sound had already taken Shye by surprise, making his heart feel uncomfortable. Shye's rush instantly dispelled his nervousness and fixed his heart beat.

"I don't like bullshit, Shye."

"I know, Count."

They continued on their way again until Kalden saw the horse-drawn carriage that Shye had prepared. Everything looked so perfect. Shye was free from Kalden's anger.

They rode in a spacious horse-drawn carriage. The streets of the city were smooth and it didn't take long for them to arrive at the opera house.

Many people had attended, and Kalden moved his eyes, staring at anyone who came and still looked so cold.

A guard stretched out his hand, asking for their invitation. Shye immediately took care of it.

"Sir Archer and Sir Roger?"

Shye just moved her head over, then after the invitation they gave was checked, they welcomed the two inside the Opera house.

There everyone sat down and Kalden got a seat in the middle, Shye who did all the hopes Kalden had survived again from the punishment he might get.

Being in the middle of a person hiding his identity allows Kalden to hear all their sayings well and clearly. He can search for what he wants.

Kalden glanced to the left, he saw a brown-haired woman.

"That's the seventh daughter of the emperor."

Kalden spoke to Shye, and Shye glanced over with a smooth gesture.

Although he observed it, but Shye didn't know why the master could know the perfect disguise of the seventh princess?

Shye knew that the seventh daughter was a princess who liked to be at the party place, her association was wide and there were rumors that she was happy to be the mistress of the nobles. It was like a disease and made hrt proud.

"Observe her well."

Shye nodded her head.

Then the huge red curtain towering in front of them opened, and a woman stood up and began to have a dialogue with a bubbly gesture, Shye saw that the master he was serving was watching intently.

The opera in front of them was showing a story about a person who had been in the underworld and he couldn't go back, and inside the underworld he got the enjoyment he hadn't gotten before.

The power he possessed had made him love the underworld very much, although people asked him to get out of the underworld, but the underworld had restrained him, holding him tightly with the strongest bond that made him distrustful of something once the underworld.

Clap! Clap! Clap!

After the show ended, people applauded so excitedly, some people even pulled their handkerchiefs out of their pockets and dodged their tears with such sad faces.

"A lot of times something we think is dark isn't necessarily dark. It teaches us that there's always going to be something hidden that's so great!"

The host of the talk in the center of the stage spread his hands widely.

Kalden watched the man, he was wearing a peaked cap like a magician, in a typical black suit. His footsteps were heavy, which made Kalden dislike him.

"He's going to do magic again!"

Kalden heard the noisy remarks, he was still expressionless. He was here because he got a letter yesterday morning from his emperor, noticing his seventh daughter's strange movements that often made a mess.

The seventh daughter of the emperor—Portia Vaenlight, the emperor said something strange happened to Portia. Sometimes she laughed so big, and she often fell silent all of a sudden.

That's why Kalden knew this Opera, those who love to party and are young to socialize have a tendency to try things like this. Moreover, it is being discussed hotly.

Another rumor is that this place is also conducting slave auctions.

Pull.

Kalden's eyes dried up, Portia was still in place and the man in front of him then emitted purplish-colored smoke from his hat.

"Hold your breath, Shye."

Shye immediately obeyed the master's orders, with his cold eyes, Kalden saw that everyone who was there was laughing with a big sanga. Ten minutes later they fell asleep, Kalden and Shye also pretended to be asleep, following their game.

"These nobles, if we ask for their blood, will definitely give it."

"That's different from using this medicine."

"You two shut up, hurry up and take this noble blood, especially the princess. It will be worth it."

The man in the strange hat spoke. Shye, who saw it almost moved, but Kalden's cold look at him made Shye unable to move. Even when they sucked the princess's blood using a large injection, the master he served still didn't move.

"They'll wake up in a while."

"Forget the rest."

And sure enough, after that, they all woke up with undead-like faces, it was easy for Kalden to follow that expression, because he didn't have to put in any effort for it.

A large empty cup was then brought onto the stage, Kalden observing with great coldness.
