A love saving situation.

Bryan woke from his slumber looking around his room confused. He had remembered he had pulled Mae close to him when he slept, sharing his bed with Mae but she was not in bed when he woke up.

"Mae?" He called out softly as he got off the bed and went into the shower. Having brushed his teeth and wiped his face, he felt awake. Mae is playing games with me, he wondered. He just couldn't think of where she was. I'm sleeping too much, he thought angrily. Just how could he sleep so soundly and deep around all that was happening? Im I a dummy?

Bryan quickly dressed into a plain white shirt and blue jean trouser before stepping out of his room. He had a lovely pair of shoe, one that pronounced fashion.

"Hi, Good morning Mrs. Yumaa?" He greeted the maid whom he met just down the stairs.

"Good morning too." She replied as she hurried off into the kitchen.

Bryan followed since he had no where to go. The kitchen was lively when he got there, Mae in an apron was busy making pancakes as Berick checked did the cleaning. "Hey guys?" Bryan alerted them of his presence from the door.

"Hey dude!"

"I'm not the dude here!" Bryan retorted as Hao came up from behind.

"Have you not packed your staff?" Hao asked as Bryan's eyes were all over Mae who just send smiles and winks at him.

"Packing for what?" Bryan asked as Mrs. Yumaa turned round.

"We heading to the Ge's place. You can take whatever you want along." Mrs. Yumaa said as she took over frying pan letting Mae give Bryan a hug.

"I didn't want to wake you up." She said softly.

"Is ok. I didn't realise I slept so much." Bryan felt uneasy. Why is everyone leaving? What had been decided when he was asleep? He wondered as Mae released another part of a story.

"Jake will be here anytime from now." That explained why she was in high moods. She had been alone for too long. "Hasn't Grandma woke up?" Bryan asked Mae who was now standing cheerfully ordering Berick to make haste, "We don't have time, check there! You have not wiped the cupboard.' She ordered Berick around but all jokingly.

"Of!" She turned back to Bryan remembering she had not answered his question.

"She left to the capital. A certain aunt of mine made a call in the morning."

What's wrong with this morning? I don't even have a dummy clue about anything going on around.

"Have some chocolate please." Mrs. Yumaa offered.

"Wow, it looks yummy." Bryan praised as Mrs. Yumaa urged him to drink while it's hot.

"Please go have a seat, you shouldn't take breakfast standing." Mrs. Yumaa requested as he carried the hotpot full of pancakes to the table.

"Welcome everyone!" She invited all who were present. Breakfast today was one of the best Bryan had ever had.

The new maid arrived at this hour as she too joined the table. No one would have thought that these people here had escaped death the night before, no one even showed traces of anxiety or fear. Everything to these guys was just like normal.

After 30 minutes of devouring the delicacy, an empty pot and mugs were cleared from the table by the maid.

"Is time to leave." Mrs. Yumaa informed everyone as they all started preparing themselves.

"Missus politely requested you to take leave after today's work. Here, she left this for you." Mrs. Yumaa informed the maid as she followed her to the kitchen taking out an envelope.

"What! 50 thousand kes!" The maid exclaimed. "Did missus say this for me really?" She asked doubting, today's not April fool right?

"Yep, it's all yours, she left it since she feared she might be late tonight." The maid heard this information as she accepted the token.

Soon everyone was in the white van that belonged to Mrs. Yumaa. The greyish SUV Bryan had left behind at the station was parked just next to the gate.

"When did they fetch the car?" He wondered as Hao saw his gaze and replied.

"A guard drove it in earlier this morning."

"Oh ok."

As Berick drove them out, Bryan realized that his girl, for the first time had abandoned him to sit between Mrs. Yumaa nad and Berick. This made the back spacious and empty.

"Enough space to sleep." Hao Ge happily mummered under his breath as they drove out.

"Hello, where are you?" Mae asked loudly in her phone as they neared a junction.

She talked over the phone for a minute or so before directing Berick to pick her brother.

He was not far from the road as they made another corner.

"There he is!" Berick said joyly as he accelerated towards Jake.

"Hello!" He stopped just right to his young master.

"Berick, Mae!" He called out as Mae jumped off the van and hugged her brother.

"Let's leave now." Jake told Mae as they sat at the back now, with Bryan.

"Aunt Xie will be coming for us today. She told me to take you to Gindi's." Jake informed his sister without hide as he spoke for everyone to hear.

Mrs. Yumaa smiled as Jake mentioned her Missus. So the lady missus left for was Jake's aunt, Mrs. Yumaa just learnt that as Mae exclaimed, "We just left Miss Old Gindi's place."

Hao Ge stared at the two siblings without interrupting. He had not talked for an hour nor did anyone bother him. "Where is she?" Jake asked as he studied the people in the van, he was sure none here was Miss Old Gindi.

"She left to the capital early this morning." Mae answered as Hao Ge who had been silent all through shouted out over their voice to Berick.

"Take the left turn ahead!"

They drove through a town as Hao Ge directed Berick all the way. Sooner they came to a stop, infront of a huge gate.

"It's here." Hao Ge said as he got off the van, so did the rest.

This is the Ge manor. He explained as he led them to the gate identifying them to the man at the gate.

"Oh.. Yeah I see." The man said interrupting Hao Ge half way. "Some visitors from the highland, I had been notified." He smiled at them as he welcomed them in. "Welcome all."

The place was like paradise. They walked along a path that diverted from the driveway, the man at the gate had advised them to use that path as it was a short cut to the manor. Not bothering about the van, which was now being drove away to the park lot by the man, Hao Ge gave them a tour through this paradise like place.

*****

That night.

Jane ran as fast as she could after Joe deep down the road before diverting off road as sounds of gunfire filled the air.

"Hide! Over here!" Joe's voice called out as Jane followed step behind. They knew the darkness won't hide them forever, plus the guards Miss Old Gindi had hired were all special trained individuals. It did be hard getting away from such people.

They had to kill time, plan for an escape, get away from the highland. Joe took out his phone as he decided to call one of his buddies to pick them up. His car was still inside Old Miss Gindi's premises, he had no way back there.

"Erick."

"What?!" Joe Ken asked as Jane softly named the man in the darkness with a smile of hope.

"Erick is around." She said as a car came racing towards them.

"Get in, fast!" Erick screamed as Jane had already moved into action. He too, not taking chances to be left alone a second behind Jake. The car sped off as he took the back seat.

"Thank you Erick!" Jane kissed his cheek as the car sped out of the highlands.

No one spoke for a while till they got out of the highlands and into Thika. All tired.

"Lets rest here." Eric suggested as he pulled over a hotel.

"Yeah. It's not a bad place, im tired too." Jane accepted as they all three got out of the car.

They got two vacant rooms of which Erick shared with Jane as Joe had his all to himself.

According to the structure of the building, the room Jane and Erick used was the room divided by the wall next to Joe's bed.

"Thanks for saving us." Jane once again told Erick as they walked into the room.

"Is ok." Erick replied as he pulled her to him by wrapping his arm round her slim waist.

"You are so cold." Jane shrieked as Erick slid his hand under her blouse.

She giggled all along as he made himself warm. "Let me warm myself." Erick enjoys tickling her till he too was warm. "Is best we sleep." Jane said as Erick withdrawn.

The bed was gemutlich as the Erick led her to sleep. Both taking off the clothes on themselves.

"Aren't you going to shower?" Jane asked Erick. "Should I?" He answered as he thought his armpits had released a terrible smell.

"Haha I'm so tired. Lets just rest." Jane pulled him down as he took off his trousers.

They were going just to sleep.

"I missed you so much." Erick softly whispered as he turned off the lamp. The room was now dim.

"I missed you too." Jane answered as she wrapped herself over his body, her right leg over his waist.

Joe was about to sleep but he couldn't get to doz. He too had switched off the lamp, wanting to sleep, but. He heard the wall adjoining his bed knocked as Jane's laughed pierced through.

"Don't tell me they will do it even in this circumstance.' Joe wished his room was far abit. The sound of clapping and slapping began as moans and yells of yes yes i like it peaked.

Joe tried hiding his ears under the pillow as he couldn't take it anymore. They were soo loud.
