Who was the guy.

Mr Yumaa drove out of the mansion minutes earlier than Inspector Joe Ken. Though he did feel jealous that the inspector was receiving a warm welcome from his wife, he didn't mind bout it to the core.

All that his wife had given him for a welcome was a slap. Mr Yumaa touched his cheek as he remembered the slight pain he did receive.

Lately, he had gone neglecting his wife. Having been married for now fifteen years or more, they still had no children. Mr Yumaa would always make it sound bad for his wife every time they had a night like why can't you be pregnant?

As he drove along the highway, his mind was set on the hospital, IHC just nearer to the market downhill.

The trip to China for the Gindi business had left him mean. Mean for his wife.

He still felt awful after leaving the mansion. He even had not got to talk with his wife, he didn't even hug her. He feared he might lose her to someone else.

'This job sucks.' Mr Yumaa thought over. Ever since he did apply for a job at Gindi's back then, his life had turned into a mess.

His mess now was the fact that he still had no children, had never gone back to Japan and still lost his memorable moments with Tysukiyomi.

'If what Miss Xie Yu promised is legit, I'm going to forfeit my contract with the Gindi and run back to Japan.

In his mind, he dreamt of opening a huge martial academy, having children and growing old with his wife. A life free of crimes.

"I'm coming back for you." Mr Yumaa who had now touched his goal kissed the picture of his wife and walked out of the SUV.

No matter what, he won't leave his mate behind, but for now he had to sacrifice his attention to her. It was time he did make her dream come true.

The IHC was mum the time he acquired to visit Hao Ge.

He was the same person who had shot his arm, a target he did lose. "I should have aimed for his head!" Mr Yumaa breathed heavily as the nurse agreed to guide him to the male wards.

They were surely naive, were they still going to have two police look after Hao Ge? He is a damn criminal! Mr Yumaa disgusted the police, these highland police worked for the Gindi too.

"Excuse me, sir." A man in nonformal garb pressed his palm on his chest. "Who do you want to see?" He asked as Mr Yumaa swiped the palm off his chest like how one would wipe off dust with his hand.

"I want to talk with him." Mr Yumaa confidently declared as he tried making his way inside the room.

The nurse had long left at the moment and the halls were empty. Lately, there had been no frequent patients hence the IHC's coolness at the minute.

"Pardon. What brings you here?" The second man who had just been watching in silence stood up too as the first cop blocked Mr Yumaa's path.

"Can't I talk with my friend?" Mr Yumaa protested as he saw the two determined to have him out.

"You can't meet Hao Ge at the moment. You will have to go back and wait for his return. " These men were being polite to the least but Mr Yumaa decided to use force to get his way past them.

"Don't force me to use this!" One of the two didn't hesitate to warn Mr Yumaa with a pistol. The situation was going out of hand.

"You can use it on me, " Mr Yumaa decreed as he now knocked both of them off the path charging his way quickly into the wards before the two could catch him.

"I have to silence Hao Ge! If I don't, he will screw my life." Yumaa had decided earlier. At this hour, he had the upper hand since Hao Ge was injured. But these two men were making it a skimble-skamble scene.

Abi brought in the teapot.

The room was empty as she realised Xie Yu had left, and so had Mae. 'Did I prepare this for nothing?' She almost felt used as she saw the glass of water.

"She didn't even need water!" Abi deplored as she now saw Xie Yu outside the house, holding onto Mae's hands as she talked.

She couldn't catch a glimpse of Xie Yu's face but Mae was completely in view. Abi watched the two speak as she hid behind the huge curtains. Now from this advantageous spot, Abi could read Mae's face which twitched with emotions.

'Just what are the two talking about.' Abi could only guess as she saw Xie Yu hand over a small receptacle before turning round back to the room.

With the fear of being caught, Abi instead rushed back into the kitchen and began preparing dinner. She had a long recipe and the treat would need three hours before being served. It was best to start preparing the ingredients this early.

Aunt Xie Yu walked back inside pulling on a satisfied smile. She took the opposite seat facing the arbour as she watched Mae, who was not moved but pocketing the portion

'She will do it!' Xie Yu glowed as Mae walked back in.

"Are you alright now?" Xie Yu asked the innocent girl. For her age, it was easy to manipulate Mae into anything. Xie Yu knew Bai Songyi's character competently, and just as the saying, like father like son, she felt Mae will not fail her.

"I'm ok." Mae nodded back as Xie Yu now poured some tea for her.

"Relax, drink the tea. It will help you release your anxiety." Xie Yu promised as she placed the full tea cup for her to sip.

"Thank you, aunty."Mae appreciated it as her fingers in her pocket felt the potion. She thought over the idea of drugging Bryan to learn the truth as she drank the tea.

'Aunt Xie Yu must be telling me the truth.' Mae spoke to herself silently. The small discussion going on in her head was going to lead her to more sorrow with regret.

'Aunt Xie Yu liked Bryan, she wouldn't harm him.' Mae comforted herself as she drank the tea halfway and excused herself.

" I feel dizzy, I'm going to sleep for some minutes." Mae walked past her aunt who wished her well.

"Sorry dear, let me get you some pills to ease." To her, Mae must have felt so dizzy after thinking over what she had told her.

"Mae, what's the matter?" Abi who heard what was going on from the kitchen came out to check.

"I'm not feeling well. But it ain't a thing to worry about." Mae answered as she walked weakly to the stairs.

The room fell into silence now as Xie Yu got tired of watching the tv and decided to take a walk outside.

No one bothered with Abi, to Xie Yu, Abi was like a maid. It was dusk, the kind of sky with orange rays filling the west. A large flock of weaver birds flew over the mansion from the wheat fields back to their nest opposite the hill.

'This land is beautiful.' Xie Yu admitted as she walked back, into the house for the rooftop. She wanted to have a better scenic view of the land.

'I know Erick might fail me since Mrs Yumaa has left too, but Mae won't fail me.'

She could see the road running downhill from across the highlands. She coveted this Gindi mansion, and all owned. If only Bryan was dead too, everything would have already been hers.

Now she had her hands on her chest, crossed over as the wind blew into her, refreshing her as she remembered the old days when she was young.

"Xie Yu, it's time for supper!" Miss Su called out for her. She was standing on the same spot, on the rooftop when Miss Su came for her.

It was around 21 years ago, she had just graduated from Harvard and come back for a holiday.

Her sister Bai Songyi was married too at that time, to Katumo with a son already. "I'm coming Miss Su." Xie Yu had turned back to follow the lady.

"Xie Yu. We have some business to finish today at the Capital. We shall leave immediately after supper. We are sorry to leave you behind, " Mr Gindi had told her during dinner.

"Is ok Gindi." Xie Yu replied, but Miss Su immediately raged.

"Xie Yu! Show some respect to my husband!" She had shouted back. She had not denied the fact that Gindi had adopted her and brought her up as his daughter. But he was not her father.

"You don't have to talk with such a rude tone! He is your father!" Miss Su was angry with Xie.

"Is not a problem. Xie Yu, the only thing I will ask of you is to look after my son, he is like your brother." Mr Gindi had not minded her a bit. "We shall be back early."

Now Xie Yu remembered that day, it was the day she did discover Gindi's secrets, with the hatred that had built up in her now, she had not regretted selling the Gindi out that night.

The news had been terrible as old Miss Gindi retired from her career and came back to look after the young infant that was left orphaned.

"Bryan, you will also have to pay for your father's bad deeds." Xie Yu vowed as she saw the vehicles driving toward the mansion.
