Jess is Asking For Help

The scent of lilies filled the room. Jess looked in the mirror, her knee-length black dress clinging to her body. Jess looks perfect with a caramel glossy lipstick. Her curly hair was in a bun, revealing a slender neck adorned with beautiful little diamonds. Eyebrows and eyelashes are clearly visible even without mascara and eyebrow pencil.

Jess turned, studying her reflection in the mirror. Her face turned dim. She stroked her muscular hand. Before delivery, the fine blood vessels are not visible. Luckily, her once thin body is now fuller, so she doesn't need to be ashamed anymore to wear her sexy clothes. Jess took the car keys as soon as she finished wearing the high heels of the same color. Not to forget, sunglasses perched on the bridge of her sharp nose to protect her eyes. Jess entrusted Elfara to Misca—her new assistant.

At 22:05 p.m., Jess didn't think it was too late to visit. Jess took her black car to Jacob's apartment. Half an hour passed, she was standing in front of the apartment door belonging to the man who was quite successful. It didn't take long for Jacob to greet Jess as soon as the bell rang. A smile grew on both of their lips. Jess took Jacob's hand. Now they are sitting on the sofa.

"You look so beautiful," Jacob complimented.

"Thank you!" Jess smiled awkwardly.

"What do you want to eat? Let me prepare for it." The man offered Jess, considering Jess liked many kinds of foods.

"You don't have to bother. I already ate." Jessy's awkward attitude was read by Jacob. The man scraped the sitting distance to lighten the mood.

"Tell me how you feel, Jess. I'm here to help as best I can." Jacob held Jess' hand while his black eyes scanned the heavy weight that had piled up in Jess' eyes.

"Jacob." Jessy's eyes suddenly watered. The man hugged Jess.

"Is this about Nick?" Jess nodded with a small sob.

"Tomorrow I will try to talk to them. You don't have to worry.

"Thanks, Jack. You're the best," Jess said.

She was still leaning against Jacob's chest. The touch of a hand on her head made her feel comfortable. She hadn't had this kind of attention from Nick in a long time. Jacob lifts Jess' chin. Now their views are the same. Very close. Unknowingly, Jess felt a soft kiss. A strange desire suddenly rose in Jessy's heart, but she immediately brushed it off when Nick's face appeared in her mind. At that moment, Jess stopped everything. It made Jacob feel guilty.

The sound of the alarm forced Jess' eyelids open. She blinked and wriggled many times to regain consciousness. She shuffled away and immediately cleaned herself up when she heard Elfara's cry. Under the warm splash of water, her memory replayed the events of last night. Guilt pierced her heart. She shouldn't have received a touch from another man even if it was just a kiss, but she was helpless.

After bathing, Jess looked at Elfara who was crying loudly. The baby looked plump and healthy even though Jess never gave her breast milk. Sometimes, she felt sorry for torturing her innocent baby. Everything that has been through, is completely out of control. To be honest, Jess loved Elfara very much, but sometimes Elfara's cries hurt her ears so much and her cute behavior became really annoying in Jess' eyes.

Jess gave Elfara formula milk. Slowly, the baby sucked it. No longer refuse like before. Maybe the baby already understands the difficult choices given by her mother. Formula milk or starve to death. The white liquid had been exhausted along with Elfara's soul who was adventuring in dreamland. Jess' cell phone suddenly rang, she immediately slid the green button as she left Elfara's pink room.

"Hi, Jack. How are you?" She asked without further ado. After a moment of silence, Jess' expression turned irritated. I don't know what Jacob said, it didn't seem like what Jess expected.

"Argh, damn it!" Jess tossed her cell phone away. She pressed her breath over and over again.

"Who else would I call to catch up with you, Nick? Jacob is unreliable." Jess pinched her temples. Suddenly, warm liquid flowed from her nostrils. She wiped it with the tissue provided on the table. Because Jess was panicking, she decided to go to the hospital after sensing something was wrong with her health.

After taking care of registration, Jess took the queue at the general practitioner's room. Not so many patients. It was just her and the two grown women who had just arrived, so she didn't have to worry about time. After the previous patient was discharged, it was her turn to be called. "Miss Jessyca Amora, come in, please!" Jessy followed the nurse's steps to the doctor's room. Upon meeting, Jess and the doctor were both shocked.

"This world is very small, isn't it, Mrs Erhan!" The young doctor gave a meaningful smile, while Jess looked away.

"By the way, what's your complaint, Mrs Erhan?" Jess didn't flinch, staring disdainfully at the woman sitting opposite her.

"Oke, Mrs. Jessy. For now, forget your hatred for me. We interact professionally. Enough between the patient and the doctor. You know, right? Other patients are waiting."

"Almost two months, I felt dizzy and had a headache as well as a nosebleed." Jess said in a heavy tone without even looking at the doctor. After that, the beautiful young doctor examined Jess.

"Nothing to worry about. You're just anemic. I'll give you blood-boosting vitamins. You also need to control your emotions and thoughts. Stress for too long can lead to heart disease and other serious illnesses. Don't think about Nick's fading love."

"What do you mean, Joan?" Jess' emotions were finally piqued.

"I'm just giving advice." Joan said casually.

"Remember Joana Alexandra. Nick's love is still mine even if it has to fade. It won't make him fall in love with you again. You better forget my husband, and marry another man. Don't bother me and Nick," Jess said emphatically. She quickly left the room.

"Why do you always accuse me of that? I never bothered you two. I am a dignified woman, not a courtesan!" Doctor Joana muttered softly with a sad expression on her face. The pen in her hand broke into two pieces.
