William's PoV

William's POV.

The music flows with every stroke of my fingers on the Piano's Keys as the melody vibration into my body.

I felt at peace. I felt alive. I am tasting a sip of freedom. Just for a moment, I am keeping my demons away.

"I thought you left with the sisters," Naomi's arms curl around my neck. Her long red hair flows to my chest as she bends over and kissed me on my cheeks.

I look at her and smile. "It was a tense atmosphere today," I say.

She laughs moving her arms off my neck. "You are in for more drama, brother-in-law."

I sigh. "Shouldn't you stop calling me that, Naomi?"

" I can't, William. You are the only memory of her I have left. Don't take that away from me." The sadness in her voice evokes the scars of my past to ache in my heart.

"Okay, sister-in-law." I turned to her and smiled.

She grins.

"What did you do with the huge money Adeline gave you?" I asked.

"I donated it to Eleanor's cancer foundation. ," she tells me.

I nod. "Eleanor will be proud. That foundation meant so much to her."

We exchange a sad smile.

"Why did you have to provoke, Adeline? You got her so pissed." I chuckled.

Naomi grins mischievously. "I just felt like doing so. She is trying to ruin everything."

"Don't worry Brittany is who I want." I nonchalantly said in contrast to my heart jingling a different tune as a girl with warm brown eyes haunts my mind as I reminisce the taste of her sinful lips.

I blinked my eyes to chase the memory away.

Naomi stares at me tediously. "You sure? You couldn't take your eyes off her during the orchestra rehearsal."

"Adeline is intriguing. I am just piqued by how different she is from her family."

"Right," Naomi snorted. She doesn't believe me

"Who does this violin belongs to?" Naomi's eyes were on Adeline's violin which was lying on the floor.

She looks back at me. "It's hers Right?"

"Adeline was in here with you, right? Something happens between you two?" She searches my face with suspicion in her eyes.

"Yes, she was in here with me, " I didn't deny.

"And something happens between you two right?".

I reach out and pick up the broken violin from the floor.

I have to fix it for her and return it.

"Nothing happened." I lied.

"You can't get involved with her. It will mess everything up!" Naomi panicked

"Okay, fine. I am going to avoid her. It's your fault she is going to be around me all the time You couldn't stand your ground and made her take your job."

She winced. "I will take the blame. The money was quite tempting. At least that money will be used to cure children suffering from cancer."

I nod. "Brittany is who I want. Not Adeline," I assure her once more.

"Good," Naomi smiled.

"Adeline wants you so bad, William, and she will do everything to have you., Don't fall into her trap. Remember marrying Brittany is all, you and I desire most."

"No need to remind me, Naomi. I know with every fiber of my bones. I have to Marry Brittany for Eleanor's sake."

But somewhere hidden in my heart, is a flicker of desire for the girl I saw at the beach.
