Chapter 1

"AHHH!!!" I yelled. Huh, I seem to be in some sort of bedroom. It's not much but…yeah…it's not much. This guy's…or rather my bedroom was a neat, and cozy bedroom with only one twin sized bed, a medium sized dresser drawer, and a desk right next to the bed. No closet or anything, just a drawer. There were only two windows in the entire room, and both of them were by the bed. One was at the right of it, and the other was on the north side of it.

Taking a good peek out of one unblinded window, I take some time to look at my surroundings. I live seem to live in an apartment that was close by some park. I think that's Fuyuki Park…? Maybe, but I can't be assuming too much.

Getting out of Ren's-I mean, my room, I take a look around the living room. It was a small living room that had a TV on a small stand, a desk right next to it that had a PC on it, a small coffee table right in front of the TV, a couch right below the coffee table, and a dining table complete with some chairs on the left of it. There's also a medium sized bookshelf right behind the dining set. I can see that there's a gramophone of some sort on the shelf right beneath the top shelf.

The kitchen was right behind the living room. There's a refrigerator on the bottom left of the kitchen and a sink on the right, complete with a dish washer right next it. There's also a cabinet right below the sink, but that probably contained all sorts of cleaning materials. There's a large metal-grated shelf right in front of me that contained various ingredients, teas, coffee beans, and some cooking tools like knives.

"For a small kitchen, this guy has been stacking up a lot of things…" I said to myself. Checking the pantry right next to the stove which also has an oven right below it, it's filled to the brim with many medicinal things. I see things such as cough drops, random herbs, and medicine such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen.

Right behind me, I see a corridor in which three rooms are presented. One on my right, another to my left, and the last in front of me. Checking the right one, I see that there's a bedroom. It has many childish drawings on the wall and had many plushies around the room. There's one small desk filled with many pink school supplies and toys. There's also a pink twin sized bed with pink blankets and many plushies. I guess you can say it's your typical 7 year old girl's room.

As I exit the room I enter the room on my right. It's a bathroom. Well, not much to say about it. A shower-bathtub on the right, a mirror in front, a toilet on the top left corner, and a cabinet on the bottom left. Although, taking a look at the mirror frightened me quite a bit.

"W-what?! I look so young! I look like I'm 17 or something!" I yelled. I have dark brown hair and dark brown eyes and had a fair face. I also have a fair and balanced face, so I'm not too ugly not too beautiful, so that's nice. Also, my hair and eyes are very dark brown. And I mean like, very, very, dark brown. To the point where it looks black. You can only see that it's a dark brown if you shine it with a light. After looking at the mirror for a while, I decide to exit the bathroom.

Entering the last room, I see a queen sized bed in front and two dresser drawers on the bottom right. There's also a closet right next to the dresser drawers. It's just a plain room. Nothing much to say. Although, it does have a pretty neat bathroom on the left.

Exiting what presumed to be my parent's bedroom, I go to the living room. Sitting down on the couch, I say something out loud.

"System." (finally, some action)

In an instant, I see a bright blue screen with the name of, "Berserker System." There are many different options I could press on the screen. Mainly things like, talk, inventory, gacha, and store. There's also a sound and settings button, but I'll look at them later. On the top of the screen, I see my name, stats, and my status. There's also a picture of my face right above the stats, as well as my level, which was currently 1. It also labeled how much more XP I need to level up and the amount of G I have (currently 10).

Anyways, my status is right below the picture, with my stats right next to it. My HP and MP are right above the picture.

My status was labeled as, "GOOD," while my stats read as:

STR: 1 ATK: 0

AGL: 1 CON: 1

DEF: 0 INT: 1

LCK:5

(Tip: 1 stat point is equal to the average human.)

(Tip 2: STR equals to physical strength. ATK equals to weapon bonuses to STR. AGL equals to travel speed, attack speed, and reaction speed. CON equals maximum HP. DEF equals to how much less HP get's taken away. INT equals to your MP and magic DMG. And LCK is equal to your overall luck in everything.)

(Tip 3: MP is always half of your HP.)

(Tip 4: Weapon bonuses can increase some of your stats other than STR, but they can also debuff you.)

Huh. Pretty bad stats if I say so myself. But hey, at least I have high luck. And at least the tips were useful. Anyway, my HP and MP read as:

HP: 180/180

MP: 90/90

(Tip: You don't possess Magic Circuits. Instead, you just have Mana itself.)

I guess 180 is the average HP for a human. Also, it seems that I don't have any Magic Circuits in me, so that's a plus. Heh, Kiritsugu can go eat his heart out.

Scrolling downwards a bit more, I see that I have an Append ability. It says:

True Berserker (EX++): Every time you get injured, you become stronger. For every 1 DMG you take, your STR increases by 2x (This stacks. For example, if you are 2x stronger but you take another 1 DMG, it turns into 4x and so on forth). For every 5 DMG you take, your DEF increases by 2x (same concept with STR). For every 10 DMG you take, your INT increases by 2x (same concept as others). For every 15 DMG you take, your LCK increases by 2x (same concept). Other than that, you do not die from fatal injuries and can keep going even having both your brain and heart destroyed. You body also doesn't follow the laws of physics or anything else (Even with your brain destroyed you can still think. Even with your heart destroyed, blood still pumps through your body. Even with you spine cut in half, you can still walk. Also, you have a virtually infinite pool of blood.). Also, this ability grants passive hax immunity no matter what circumstances there are (including but not limited to, Mystic Eyes, Root connections, clairvoyance, omnipotence, and durability negation.) Your attacks also negate every type of durability there is so you can have a nice and enjoyable fight.

Holy shit. This ability just put's a massive middle finger to every type of Nasuverse hax there is. But seriously?! Why this ability?! It practically just encourages you to do self-harm to yourself to become stronger! It's like some ability a 14 year old emo kid came up with! Although, the other things listed are quite nice too.

Scrolling down a bit more I find another ability. But this time, it's a bit weaker, but a lot more convenient.

Gamer's Body (EX+): Typical gaming avatar's body. Your body or presence cannot be sensed by anything. You don't have to eat, drink, or sleep, and you can breathe underwater. You're immune to all mental disturbances and can keep your cool no matter the circumstances. Your eyes can also adjust to darkness very quickly. Eating or drinking foods heal HP or MP and maybe both, and can sometimes give bonuses either from LCK or just guaranteed. Sleeping heals all wounds and ailments (such as curses or poisons). Poison is automatically ejected from your body.

Pretty useful if I have to say so myself. Although it doesn't bring me any combat help. But, it seems that's all there's to it. No other skills left.

[System would like to request a tutorial. Would you like to accept?]

[YES] [NO]

"Huh, a tutorial this late? But okay, I guess I'll take it," I said to myself. Pressing yes, I then see the System describing many things about the options listed there.

[Talk is used for long distance communication for people you know. Just think of it like a portable phone.]

That's pretty neat. Although, I'm a bit worried if it's something like a mental link or something like a phone.

[Don't worry! It's both of them combined! You can mentally communicate as well as text, call, and FaceTime!]

Huh. Neat.

[Inventory provides a virtually infinite space of items that can be stored from within it. Items stored within the inventory will not spoil or expire. Items can also be ejected and thrown out of the inventory, so you can make the inventory your own version of Gate of Babylon. It's also used for equipping items and armors.]

Neat. Anyways, next one.

[Gacha is mainly used for getting cosmetics and whatnot. It uses a separate currency system that uses Stars. These Stars are earned by doing mundane and easy things. Like doing the dishes, eating, sleeping, and even doing nothing at all! You gain around 500 Stars every time you do something.]

Cool. Though, I'm kinda nervous if I have to take off my armor to wear the cosmetics. But at least it has a good gacha system.

[Don't worry, there's a separate cosmetic armor slot right next to the armor slot in the inventory. These cosmetics don't give any bonuses and can be taken off whenever you feel like it.]

"Phew, you got me nervous there, system. But knowing that really helps, so thanks." I said.

[Thank you. Moving on to the last function, store. The store allows you to buy various armors and weapons. These weapons are available anytime, anywhere. You can buy these items with G, which is gained from quests and killing mobs or NPCs. The things that you can buy from the store are around fiction, so you can buy anything you want. For example, you can buy Tensa Zangetsu or even the Death Note!]

"Wow. That's pretty nice. Actually, that reminds me. System, do I have any quests I can do?" I asked. And then, it terrified me.

[Dead Apostle Extermination

Kill 20 Dead Apostles.

Rewards: 300 G, 500 XP, 10 Lesser Healing Potions (Terraria), Spirit Orb (SoTN), [Holy Strikes], Knife Sub-Weapon (Castlevania).

Accept?

[YES] [NO]

(Tip: There are no punishments for declining quests or failing them. You still get XP and G but it's halved. Plus, you don't get the special item or ability that comes with completing the quest.)

"Damn. I don't know if I can really beat 20 Dead Apostles. Do you have anything that can help me?" I asked.

[I recommend only focusing on the Dead Apostles themselves. It took you a while to use the system beforehand because you were too busy checking out your new home. But other than that, you should find some weapons around your home. Mainly knives or hammers.]

"Thanks System. Your help won't go in vain." I said.

[No problem! I'm always here for you, user!]

Checking out the kitchen for a while, I find a collection of 12 kitchen knives. Knives like bread knives, butter knives, filet knives, and just your normal kitchen knife. Taking all the knives, I take the spare key that was on one of the kitchen counters. Before you ask, yes there's a spare key, and no, I didn't tell you beforehand. I also took a few apples in case.

[Apple 5x has been added to your inventory]

Putting on my shoes, I went outside of the unit and headed outside of the apartment complex itself. Exiting the elevator, I quickly accepted the quest and located the Dead Apostles.

"Okay then. Let's kick some zombie ass." I muttered.

(A/N: sorry for boring you guys in Chapter 1. This is my first fan fiction I've ever written, so I want to be as serious as possible with my writing. Though, I will include many references to things in today's media (like JoJo or MGR:R). But, I hope you guys enjoyed!
