Ah, the fresh sensation of getting ready for a new day! I had a nice sleep last night and I got a full 8 hours of sleep! Especially thanks to my stats! Speaking of my stats and level, I found out that whenever I level up, it doesn't just fill my notifications with continuous level ups. It just tells me how many levels I gained at once, which is pretty neat. Wait, that reminds me…system, what day is it?

That always activates whenever someone you're talking to isn't fluent in English, have another language preferred over English, or by keeping it always on. This doesn't activate whenever someone is fluent in English, really good at it, or have English as their preferred language. Oh wait, no that wouldn't happen unless someone transmigrated themselves into Ciel's body.

Read SCP ya know. I know what will happen if Ciel gains knowledge from the real world. She'll probably question her existence because she knows that she's a work of fiction and all the things she went through are in vain and only used for our own entertainment. Or she might immediately go insane because fiction is fiction and cannot ever interact with the real world.

Unless if it's a fourth wall break or the fictional being becomes real in a fictional version of the real world. But fourth wall breaks are only the bare minimum of interacting with the real world. Firstly, they don't know your name. Secondly (yes that's an actual word.), they don't know how many people know of them. And thirdly, real world beings can easily defeat fictional beings by making them fight a stronger being, forgetting about them, throwing/not watching the video game/book/show (away). And no, self-inserts like Swann's Proposal or TOAA don't count. Since they're still technically just FICTIONAL inserts that interact with the fictional world, but are still technically fiction.

Oh, woops. I was going on again. But that also reminds me, since I'm in a fictional world, which is basically impossible to go in unless you go into a different universe, does that make me fictional and nonexistent or am I just an author insert? And since real life is above all other fictional universes, does that make me below the real world and thus, makes me fictional and nonexistent? Or am I really just an author insert or OC created by the author so I could interact with the fictional world to see if I could change some things and see what would happen if a another person were to change the timeline? If I am an author insert, does that make me the strongest in the Nasuverse? Or am I just nerfed by the author making this story? That really makes me question my existence…but now's not the time to be sad or to be contemplating right now. I gotta focus on other things. (He's actually an author insert!)

Since you've declined the request, Ciel will be going after you. If you meet her, you have to decline the invitation immediately, or else all your rewards will be taken back (save for levels and G.). Don't worry, Ciel will only try to knock you out and the Burial Agency will only try to force you to join them. No torture or anything like that.

Oh hey, I leveled up 30 times! That also reminds me…system, what are the new updates?

[Okay, what do we have here…There's a new [Limiter] function, which allows you to put layers of limits on yourself so you can effectively hold back. There's also a [Starter Pack] and [Daily Reward] function too! And a new [Interlude Quest] function! Oh, and also the new [Bestiary] option on the system too. The [Starter Pack] function gives you the bare minimum things on using the system. It gives you 300 XP and 5000 G upon opening. It also gives you 10 Lesser Healing Potions and 10 Mana Prisms. And also includes the weapons Shortsword, Dagger, and Wooden Staff. Shortsword for STR builds, Dagger for AGL builds, and Wooden Staff for INT builds. It also gives you the abilities [Mighty Thrust (C+)], [Parry, Riposte, and Backstab (A++)], [Hi-Speed Edge (C)], [Rapid Slash (B-)], [Fireball (C)], [Mana Burst (A+)], and [Torpor (B+)]. As well as many other system upgrades.

The [Daily Reward] function allows you to get daily rewards every day. The rewards are G, XP, and one random item or skill. The item or skill gets better everyday, and some of them can be really good. Also, this does not work with your LCK stat. Every item or skill is completely random.

Also it also turns out that you've been using an outdated version of the system. There's a new stat point function which lets you get stat points every time you level up. The stat points are stored right below your stats. You can select a specific amount of stats points that you can upgrade your stats with. And instead of gaining 2 stat points gained to every stat every time you level up, you get 500 stat points every time you level up. But of course, you can choose to keep the "increase-stats-every-time-you-level-up-feature," in the settings. You can choose to turn it on or off at any moment.

Also, if you do choose to keep it on, your stats get multiplied by 20 times the original amount you used to have, making you become stronger.]

But system, isn't that a little bit too strong? And also, what are my stats?

[No, it isn't. It was just that the outdated system is pretty weak. This is just the first update, so there will be more updates coming to the system to make it even more stronger. And here are your stats:

(Tip 3: LCK multiplies the probability of things happening by its own stat number in percentages. Ex: if dodging Gae Bolg had a 1% chance of dodging, it would be multiplied by 500%.)

[Anyways, the new [Interlude Quest] function allows you to do quests in order to make your abilities stronger. Every skill you gain will always have an [Interlude Quest] that can be unlocked if you do certain conditions. Like defeating an enemy or simply raising your stats. Each skill has 2-3 [Interlude Quest]s that you can do.]

Okay then, do I have any Interlude Quests I can do?

[There's only three that you currently can do. But moving on, the new [Bestiary] function lets you document any monster or person you've beaten before. It also shows their weaknesses and tolerances against things. It even shows their minor weaknesses and minor tolerances. The [Beastiary] is divided into 3 parts. Monsters, people, and Servants. There are also new status effects that has been added.]

What are they?

[These effects are Stun, Stagger, and Fear. The Stun status effect makes you unable to do anything but access the system. From there on, you can find a very large anti-stun function button on the middle of your system. You can do it manually to get rid of the stun faster, or you can wait until the system automatically gets rid of it. If an enemy gets this effect, you can get some free hits in, or you can do a Riposte on them.

The Stagger effect is basically a lesser version of Stun. The effects are the same as Stun, but just weaker. This effect can go for enemies too, but it usually happens when you do a large amount of damage on them or when you parry them. You can also perform a Riposte during this.

The Fear effect makes you unable to move, get knocked unconscious, or it makes you run away. This effect is automatically negated because of your [Gamer's Body] ability. It can be used on enemies too.]
