chapter 21

"Welcome to my bunker," I said as I entered the passcode.

I had to switch the saliva to the passcode because it was a hassle.

sure it provided more security but it also took longer actually to get into the bunker.

"This is different from what I expected," Sam said as she saw death, Anna, and Eva laying on the couch.

"Well yeah, when you entered the ally the illusion was disabled, so we say it normally. however other people see a pitch-black alley and no one wants to see that," I told her.

"That would be incredible for the zombies," Sam said.

"not really. they can still smell you, and they go where they please, so nowhere is safe, not even deserted islands because the animals in the water will mutant and carry the disease further.

that would happen in stage 3 though, we should be fine. right now we need to go because I'm hungry," I said as we descended the stairs.

"guess who's back," I said giving Micheal J entrance.

"sister," Anna said getting up.

"thief," Death said.

"yeah yeah. you ain't getting your scythe back. just give up," I told her.

"anyways, meet Samantha. Samantha meets, Anna my sister, violet my sister's girlfriend, death, and Eva, my girlfriend," I introduced myself.

"is she the one in the photo," Sam said pointing to Anna.

"new friend," Anna said rushing to hug Sam who stood paralyzed at the sudden attack.

"go with it," I mouthed.

"you seem different. you gained divinity. however not godly divinity," Death said as she looked at me.

"she did," Samantha told her.

"you did," Anna asked.

"yeah, the god was pissing me off, so I killed her," I told her.

"with my scythe, I could tell," Death said.

"well technically I had to kill her over and over again, it was a hassle to permanently kill her because I had to scatter her body further than she could regenerate," I told them with a shrug.

"Now things are getting interesting. first, you manage to steal my scythe, and now you can kill a god. I think I might have to keep a better eye on you," Death said as a crow flew from her shadow.

before I could react she grabbed it and shoved it down my throat, forcing me to swallow the crow.

[entity known as death has invaded your mind, attempting to bypass.

...failed... failed ...failed... success.

the effect is reverse]

I fell unconscious and when I opened my eyes I was in a vastness space. I looked around and saw that I was "death".

("I" is going to be referred to as death now. until I say it isn't.)

I was made... forced to avoid the living and only communicate with the dead. whether it be god or humans.

that was when god decided that humanity had to die. in his words "there is a person who could flip over the godly realms."

now "god" cannot interfere directly with earth otherwise he would have taken care of the issues himself.

however, I wasn't the one who suggested we start the apocalypse, no why would I kill humanity... I liked humanity.

they were such fascinating creatures that kept evolving and made my bored existence something worth living.

Hestia was very much against the idea of it, and so was hades. the Norse branched didn't seem interested and neither did the other mythology's.

Zeus was probably the one most against the idea, mainly because he wouldn't be able to sire other children with mortals anymore.

I looked into my books and saw that lots of humanity were going to start dying on the same day.

my work although automated will be very troublesome. millions of souls were going to die and overflow the gates.

I had to make sure that wouldn't happen otherwise I would be in trouble.

my reapers along with I was escorting the deceased into the afterlife of their choosing when my scythes keychain disappeared from my neck.

I immediately reached for my neck to notice it was missing. this sent me into a panic as any being who touched my scythe instantly vaporized and they never saw the afterlife.

I tracked the scythe down to a mortal who was fighting waves of the undead, and she was interesting, to say the least.

she had my scythe and was able to use it, what was even more surprising is that I was even allowed to even be on earth.

"god" had lifted the barrier of earth and allowed me to be able to interact with humans.

as of now, I'm probably the only deity with knowledge of this. if word got out of this, I would never have had the chance to explore this place.

I kept in mind Adam and eve on a small island in the south and could help but feel bad for them. having to watch their children have to die.

I came for my scythe and when I tried picking it up when she left it on the floor, I found I couldn't.

it was like my scythe was telling me "not right now, I have a job to do."

if I knew the earth was so interesting I would have begged to come sooner.
