Chapter 30

Walking down the familiar street and dirty lane, Mona felt a kind of nostalgia for the environment. She doesn't know if it's because of the pregnancy but she was feeling irritated and at the same time she felt like shedding a few years.

She never believed her relationship with her father would become this strange. So much so that he was willing to sell her, gamble her, and even strike a deal with her friend for money.

Was she his daughter? Mona pondered. The way he acts doesn't depict a father. Even if he loves money, did it mean she was worthless when money was involved?

Mona had always tried her best for her father. She makes sure he has whatever he asks from her. Apart from paying her tuition fees, Mona had to take care of every expense her father might have or incur.

"Are you sure you are fine, Mona?" Ella asked when she saw her friend's moody countenance. She wondered if it wouldn't be risky even if they were coming with policemen.
