Chapter 38

Everyone outside of the theatre looked up anxiously as the door was pushed open. A doctor drenched in sweat walked up to them. Without being told, his disposition announces bad news.

Gerald shut his eyes tightly before opening them again. He watched as the fragile-looking Grandpa Leon rushed up to the doctor in anxiety.

"Doctor, how is my grandson?" Grandpa Leon asked, his eyes piercing deeply at the doctor. He can't afford to lose his grandson.

After the death of Lester's parents, he had watched and guarded him. He knew how traumatized he was by Lester's parents' death. He doesn't know how he was going to go through another ordeal should something happen to Lester.

Swallowing his anxiety, the doctor spoke with caution as he began to explain to them the condition of Lester.

Growing impatient, Grandpa Leon interrupted the doctor's explanation. He wondered why doctors still bother to talk gibberish when it's obvious the people don't understand.
