My heart beat raced fast with my breath and ran as fast as I could through several people in the lobby of the hospital. I almost fell down when I hit a nurse, she swore but I didn't care. My thoughts were so messed up that even Gilbert who was carrying Elsa was left far behind when I made it to the elevator.
Time didn't seem to allow me to rush to the ICU when several people got into the lift including Gilbert who had trouble carrying my child. He barged in apologetically to approach me standing at the right corner of the elevator.
"Be patient, everything will be fine," he said.
I was speechless staring at the number after number of the elevator that carried everyone. I want to get to the fifth floor soon, I want to meet dad before it's too late.
"Um!" call my mom on the phone with a sob. "Your daddy is critical, Em. Come here quickly."
