"But still, barging in on someone else's mansion without a proper reason wouldn't make sense. Like, I do have a creed, you know?" I shrugged as I said that.
"Well, we make a reason then. I mean, it's gonna be pretty easy doing that, right? After all, someone had put forth a complaint of bandits messing up their place, right? So, we could simply act based on that and who knows, maybe a bandit would spill their guts that would lead to us having a proper reason for raiding a noble's mansion." Jerome gave out a smirk as he said that.
"Ah, I didn't think of it that way. But yea, that would totally work." I nodded my head as I said that.

"So, we're supposed to raid a bandit's lair now." The woman who's the leader of my elite squad asked.
To be honest, it didn't sit well with me that I was calling her 'the woman' rather than by her name, so I turned towards Jerome.
"Hey, what's her name?" I asked.
"You've been talking to her this entire time and this is the only time you felt like asking me that question?" Jerome asked.
"Well, up until now I didn't feel the need to call her by her name. So, you can't blame me for that." I spoke.
"Yea, Leila wouldn't like it if she heard it." Jerome mumbled.
"Ah, it's Leila, huh?" I turned towards Leila at that point. "Yes. You'll be raiding a bandit's lair." I replied.
"I see." Leila stayed silent for some time, before coming up on the realization and nodding her head.
"Yea, even though it might seem really trivial, let me assure you that this singular raid is gonna be a really important turning point." I spoke.
I mean, I ain't lying about that, you know? The moment we get something out of the bandit lair, we can go on a rampage against all the nobles. So that basically means that this is really important.
And Leila looked like she understood the importance of it as well. Like, she didn't, but I guess she chose to believe my words.
"Yes, my Lord. We'll make sure that we completely subdue those bandits." Leila spoke.
"Subdue, but don't kill, you get me?" I asked, to which she nodded her head. "Great. You can leave now and get on with the job tomorrow."
Once I said that, Leila got up and disappeared like she usually does. "Ha, this will never not surprise me." I sighed as I saw her leave.
"Well, that's nice." Jerome mumbled.
"Did something happen?" I asked upon seeing him like that.
"What do you mean?" He asked back, looking all confused.
"Well, you seem a bit extra now. Like, really grumpy and all. So, yea." He shrugged as he said that.
"Ah, that huh? Well, I've been dealing with Viscount Kenneth for a while now and he isn't getting any less annoying any soon. If this goes on, I'd probably blast him to the stratosphere or something." Jerome spoke.
"So the stratosphere exists but Rome doesn't, huh? Interesting." I mumbled, before turning my attention towards the main issue on our hands. "Wait, that guy is still here?" I asked.
"Yea, I thought he would leave once you showed him your intent, but this guy is really adamant on meeting you. He has basically set up a camp in front of the mansion right now." Jerome spoke.
"Is that so? I guess I should see it for myself then." I spoke as I got up from my chair.
"Sure. Let's go then." Jerome nodded his head as he led the way.
"Also, I gotta hire an actual butler at some point. I kinda feel bad about how you're doing all the menial work like this." I spoke.
"I told you. I'm fine with doing all of this. It's a favor for my friend who can't seem to trust that many people now." He replied.
"That might be the case, but do you think people will open up in front of you if they get to know that you work for me like this?" I asked.
"Well, I've been helping you out like this for a long time now and that hasn't stopped them from opening up in front of me." Jerome smiled as he said that.
"Fine, if that's the case, I don't have anything to say." I shrugged.
"Well, that doesn't mean that you shouldn't hire a butler for yourself." He replied.
"Yea, I'll hire one when I feel like I could trust that person." I spoke.
"That would be great." He gave out a thumbs up as he said that.

"What in the world is going on here?" I couldn't help but say that after witnessing what was in front of me.
"Well, as I said, that man is camping in front of your mansion." Jerome replied nonchalantly.
But to be honest, that dog bastard wasn't JUST camping! It was as if he had set a second home there. Like, no kidding. I swear I just saw an exotic dancer or two even!
"Why the hell is he doing all of this?" I was angry. Really angry. And I believe it was quite evident from my voice as well.
"He says he wants to meet you and all." Jerome replied.
"He wants to meet me, huh? Well, I guess I will meet him." I mumbled as I stormed my way towards Kenneth.
I was planning to not give him one second of my time, but now that he has annoyed me, I'll have to make sure that I make a spectacle out of this. Which is why, I walked towards one of the guards and drew out his sword. I know that I did this same tactic earlier, but that doesn't mean that he has witnessed me do that or anything. Anyhow, with the drawn out sword on my hand, I made my way towards Kenneth and pointed it right at his throat.
