"Wait, what's wrong? What's going on?" I asked. I mean, I was confused as to why Jerome was acting the way he did.

"I told you about the overload, didn't I? Yea, that's what's going on." He spoke.

"What in the- How am I supposed to deal with this then?" I asked.

"You have to cut the flow of mana slowly and steadily. You do it too quickly, you screw it up." He replied.

"But didn't you just ask me to cut the flow as quick as I can before?" I asked. I mean, I'm pretty sure that he said it.

"I didn't mean it like that. Like, I got concerned all of a sudden which is why I accidentally blurted that shit out. You don't have to concern yourself with that, to be honest." He spoke.

"Yea, don't do that kinda thing again. I mean, had I listened to you and cut the flow just then, it would've all been over by now." I replied.

"I know, I know. I'm sorry about that." He spoke. "But don't worry. Just trust my words for now and do it." He insisted.
