The vigorous flapping suddenly stopped and a strong gust of wind whipped at the warriors' garments.

Itziar felt her small body being dragged, but before it happened, the beorn leaned forward a bit to protect her from the blasts.

About thirty huge birds with blue-black fur descended to an appropriate height, without touching the ground. Their long-feathered tails swayed in the air, and their large, lively eyes caught everything that moved.

Mounted on each of these were riders in black robes, perfectly camouflaging themselves with the plumage of the birds and the darkness of the night.

When everything calmed down, Itziar heard the deep voice of a man that sounded above their heads.

"It's good to see that you arrived in one piece, was the night walk quiet?" the man said with a light tone as if the attack earlier had been something trivial.
