Transformation

The heat began to go down from their necks, running through their entire body. It wasn't painful, but it was uncomfortable.

When they ran their hands over the burning areas, the skin was swollen and raised. A series of curved lines protruded from their necks and cheekbones.

"What's this?" Ravin uttered with difficulty. Her voice was airy, and her breathing was erratic.

Risna was trying to regulate her breathing. While she was having a harder time than usual, it didn't mean she was suffocating. 

It was as if she had gained a new pair of lungs and the amount of air wasn't enough to fill them.

Once she found her rhythm, she turned to her sister and checked on her condition.

Ravin had also gotten a bit used to it and managed to calm down in time to lock eyes with Risna.

Bewilderment spread across the twins' faces, their dark eyes perplexedly scanning every inch of their necks and cheeks.
