Ethan and Vera went upstairs, guided by the Captain.

He opened a couple doors for them, even one with a secret code.

«Here is the office for organised crime,» he said. «Our team of six agents has been working on it for six months now. This is Sergeant Mlynar, he's in charge of the operation. Mlynar, these are the agents from Europol. Chief Detective Becket and... Uhm, Detective Bogdan, right?»

Vera nodded while analysing the agents in front of her. There were eight people in total, so who were the extra two?

«These are Spanish police. They came here to confirm intel about our investigations. They follow the case as observers and take notes for a similar case they're working on.»

«Spain?» Vera repeated, furrowing her brows.

The detectives were a man and a woman, both with dark hair and black eyes. Their skin was slightly tanned, and they had elegant suits instead of a uniform. Like a team from an intelligence unit or the secret services.
